6 days late and needing some reassuring

Hi there, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this however I was hoping for some friendly advice. My partner and I have decided we would like to try for a baby. This should be my 3rd period since stopping the pill. The 1st 2 were exactly as they were before I took the pill. However this month I am 6 days late. I don't seem to have any of the pregnancy symptoms I've seen online apart from cramps which feel like period cramps. I've taken one test and it was negative. Does anyone have any experience of this situation or any advice please? Thank you.

Im 8 days late, havent tested for 7 days now, (got a bfn) ive been ill this month and am convinced i didnt ovulateConfused i just feel desperate for baby dust but petrified of a bfp... i cant explain it

If you're late and the test is negative then you have ovulated late. So it will be hard to know when you should legitaimately test.

I'd test weekly until my period arrived.

I tested today. And got a bfn so I'm outa the race I assume.

Clary, if your period is late it's likely you ovulated late. Until you get either a positive test or a period, you're still somewhere in your cycle.

When I came off the pill I had my normal 28 day cycles. But then the first two when we started TTC were 5 and 9 days longer for some unknown reason. It was very frustrating at the time but I'm now much better at reading when I ovulate to make sure we DTD at the right time.

Yes, I have that 'feeling' that it's just my body playing games and getting it's self back to normal. I will wait another week and test again if af doesn't show up
