Feeling a bit sad

I'm two weeks late and still no BFP. I shouldn't have got my hopes up but I really thought I might get a Christmas BFP, stupid I know!
I had light spotting when I was due AF but nothing else. GP booked me a blood test but not for another week and I just can't bear the waiting!
Anyone else feeling a bit blue this Christmas?

And worst of all no drinks on Christmas Day in case I am pregnant! WineWineWineWine

Hey,I’m now a week late and no bfp. I’m calling the doctors first thing Wednesday for an appointment as even if I’m not pregnant I’ve got something wrong for sure. I did a digital clear blue on Wednesday night, it was bfn but took it apart (which I know you’re not supposed to do) and looked faint but probably just evap. I’ve read mixed reports on what tests are best and reliable etc. I’ve also done a Sainsbury’s early test and also bfn. I’ve not been ttc, but would be thrilled if I did get a bfp, think my oh might need some time to get his head around it but he would be happy too. Personally I’d have a weak couple of drinks for sure - people go weeks and even months without knowing they are and drink loads. Sending hugs and baby dust x

mondler · 25/12/2017 20:49

Good luck with the bloodtest, I'll keep everything crossed for you. Sending you Christmas hugs Flowers

MyBumpIsOnlyPudding · 25/12/2017 21:07

@LittlemissF thanks so much! Fingers crossed for a BFP for you! X

@mondler thanks so much! I was feeling really sorry for myself that nobody had replied and now I feel a bit weepy about how nice you both are! What does Christmas do to my brain?! X

Also @LittlemissF I swear I've tried every single pregnancy test lol I think pregnancy tests bring on a special kind of insanity!

OP posts:
LittlemissF · 25/12/2017 21:15

How long have you been ttc? Will cross my fingers for you.

It sounds so stupid but I feel different and I’ve felt different since before I even thought I was late, wasn’t even thinking about being pregnant, just knew something felt different. It’s weird.

Have you got any symptoms?

MyBumpIsOnlyPudding · 25/12/2017 21:26

@LittlemissF I've only been trying for five months but PCOS runs in my family and I'm worried I might have it too... how long have you been trying? I haven't had any symptoms but I haven't had any PMS either, which is so unusual for me! I don't think I've ever been late before, and I normally have really bad cramps, so I'm sure that I was spotting and not having AF.
Actually having said that I said have pink spotting on 7dpo and 11 dpo and then the spotting after that was brown..? What the flip is going on??

It sounds like some people do just know, I hope you're right! Got my fingers crossed for you! How long have you been trying? Is it your first? It's my first, which is probably why I'm being so ott!

MyBumpIsOnlyPudding · 25/12/2017 21:27

@LittlemissF sorry just remembered you weren't trying!! Maybe it's a good thing I'm not drinking, I feel unusually stupid at the moment!

I was TTC in 2013 with my (now ex!) husband for 4 months but had no joy. Got diagnosed with PCOS in 2015 but then I’ve recently been under a gynaecologist because they thought I had endometriosis, had a scan a couple of weeks ago and was told I definitely didn’t have PCOS so no idea what was going on there! I’ve been off the pill with the except of a couple Of months for 4 years now and my cycle is almost to do the day between 30&32 day. I’m always a bit crabby in the run up to AF but I’ve been especially irritable for the last couple of weeks expecting AF to arrive on Monday latest.

Have you seen a specialist at all? They’re could be lots of help available for you - I’ve had a couple of friends who were only trying for a few of months and got referred both went on clomid and both got pregnant fairly quickly after that too.

Little things I’ve noticed over the couple of weeks has been lightheaded/dizziness, bad headaches, I’ve been really spotty which is unusual for me, I’ve been absolutely exhausted too, literally napped through most of Saturday last week which is also unusual for me then last night I started with a Metallicy taste in my mouth which is just crazy!!!! I don’t know if I’m losing my marbles or what, but like I said I deffo need to see a doctor regardless because if I’m not pregnant there’s something wrong!

Would be my first too, I’m trying so hard to just think about it though until something real happens. I’ve had a few drinks over the last couple of days though x

MyBumpIsOnlyPudding · 25/12/2017 21:49

That sounds really frustrating! I went to the doctor about my periods 2 years ago but they were really unhelpful and basically said that everyone's period is different?? But we've moved since then and when I went to the doctor this week she was really lovely and suggested blood tests straight away but to leave the pregnancy tests alone for a while Blush I'm trying to but it's so tempting! And if the blood tests don't show anything and I'm not pregnant then she said we can start looking at PCOS.

Those symptoms do sound promising! Though it's hard to tell because they're pms and pregnancy look so alike Angry the metallic taste sounds particularly promising! Have you got an appointment booked?

To be honest I've had a glass of bubbly today and one yesterday too, but I don't want to risk having more than that because if my opk was right and I am pregnant then baby would be 6 weeks by now and I think they have a placenta by then?? I'm just being super paranoid though to be honest haha x

LittlemissF · 25/12/2017 22:02

It was the metallic taste that hit last night when I started to think that perhaps I wasn’t actually imagining it. I’ve not got an appointment, you can usually book online but there isn’t any available so I’m just going to ring on Wednesday when they’re open again and see if I can book one. It’s usually a 3 weeks wait though 😥 I’m still under the gynaecologist though and due for surgery in the new year - that’s private (I get free healthcare at work) so I’ll probably end up seeing them and finding out sooner than if I wait for a GP appointment. I did have a look and it said I’d be about 4/5 weeks now. It’s so hard not to look at stuff and be tempted!

Sounds like you’ve got a good GP now and I think women understand way better than men sometimes as well, fingers crossed you’ll get everything you need if you’re not this time. It’s so hard to resist testing, I remember from before so many times I POAS and then cursed myself for wasting it and getting excited. I’ve read a lot online over the last week or so though about the amount of people who are pregnant and it didn’t show up until they had bloods so it does happen!!xx

MyBumpIsOnlyPudding · 25/12/2017 22:08

That sounds great! Hopefully you get the good news soon! I really hope so haha I'm not too worried about wasting sticks as I keep using ICs, but I've started using FRERs as they're a bit more sensitive... might as well be peeing on fivers Blush though as they're plastic now I guess you could rinse reuse it! If only you could do that for FRERs!! X

LittlemissF · 25/12/2017 22:15

Haha I reckon in the not so distant future someone will make one!!

When I was TTC before everyone loved the boots ones, they are pink dye too and early response, and on offer a lot too. Their website has crashed today though so don’t know how much they are but I guess cheaper.

MyBumpIsOnlyPudding · 25/12/2017 22:17

I'll give it a go, cheers! Thanks for keeping me company tonight x

OP posts:
LittlemissF · 25/12/2017 22:47

No problem, good luck!xx

MyBumpIsOnlyPudding · 25/12/2017 23:33

Good luck to you too! And merry Christmas Xmas Smile xx

Hope you’re feeling better today. Still no bfp today, still the same symptoms here!

MyBumpIsOnlyPudding · 26/12/2017 22:46

Thanks, I am a bit! Nothing's really changed for me but I was sick this afternoon... probably too much gingerbread though Grin

I put a request in for my doctor today - they’ve switched to an online system so you submit a request then they call you back to say what action to take. He won’t do anything, doesn’t want to see me and says I don’t need a blood test. Says I have a bug but he can’t explain why I’m now 10 days late, but basically brushed it off. So now I’m stuck!! Apart from anything else, at almost 31 years old although it’s only 10 days late if it carries on I’m kinds concerned as to what the problem is, just feel pissed off now, I’d just like to know 100% I’m not. Guess I’m waiting until I get my hospital appointment or for AF to arrive!

MyBumpIsOnlyPudding · 27/12/2017 11:14

Oh no! I'm sorry, that's rubbish! How long have you got to wait? Fingers crossed for you x

OP posts:
LittlemissF · 27/12/2017 11:35

Who knows! I guess I need to just go with ‘I’m not pregnant’. Can’t help but feel a bit fobbed off. I’m due for surgery in January, literally waiting for the secretary to call me to book me in so should be in the first couple of weeks. I just hope AF turns up to be honest as I can’t help but worry that something is wrong. It’s just so unusual for me to be this late 😩 still got my fingers crossed for you though, when is your blood test?x

MyBumpIsOnlyPudding · 27/12/2017 14:30

Wednesday, so not long to wait! I'm trying to balance my expectations, I don't want to get my hopes up, but I'm trying not to think that being late means something bad! It's so hard not to worry, isn't it? Fingers crossed for you! X

OP posts:
LittlemissF · 27/12/2017 15:07

Fingers crossed for Wednesday then.

I’ve started with the worst cramps today to go along with the back ache so AF might be on it’s way today! Its been a mixed week but it has definitely reinforced to me so much that I want children and I really don’t want to wait too much longer.

MyBumpIsOnlyPudding · 27/12/2017 15:54

Ah no, I'm sorry about that! X

OP posts:
LittlemissF · 03/01/2018 13:21

Hope your blood test goes ok today. Fingers crossed. I had a seriously light bleed last week but still been feeling the same with nausea getting worse and my nipples have pretty much turned purple. So thought I’d test again this morning to put my mind at ease. Got a really faint positive. I don’t have any other tests to do another and thought it would be darker than this, so I don’t know what to do. I’m really put off ringing the doctors as he made me feel like I was making it up last week. Agh!
