Positive on an IC then negative?

Hi all. I took a test today after a 5 hour hold on a one step pregnancy test. Just after the dye cleared and the control line appeared there was a second faint but clearly there pink line. It disappeared after a minute and now is stark white. I only tested today as i didn't want the disappointment on christmas day! Now I don't know what to think anyone had this before? If it's a bfn I'd rather know today than tomorrow. I have read reviews on the tests (after I brought them) and they don't seem very good at all.

A lot of tests do this as the pee travels up the stick, if it was a Bfp it would have stayed there. Big hugs

Don't want to get your hopes up but my first 3 IC tests done this and I'm now 20 weeks ..can u not go out and get a different brand xx

I thought that was the line of dye as it travels across the test. What does the test look like now it's dried?

Thanks for the replies. I have seen this happen as the urine travels up the test before, but this was way after that. The test control line was already super dark when the second line appeared. It was really pink, then disappeared in a minute. My husband even saw it. i do have a FRER but don't want to waste it as AF not due until ti morrow or Boxing Day. fx anyway and thanks so much for the replies x

I tested again at 5. I'd been to the loo at half 3 though so hadnt really waited too long. Not sure if I can see the merest hint of a line, it's a lot fainter than this mornings disappearing line. I'm so unimpressed with these tests!!

I think I see something Freezing. Could you get yourself a proper branded test?

Sorry I should have updated. I used a FRER which was negative and AF arrived one day late and hurt like absolute hell!!! Not sure what is going on. Going for blood tests this month to check I am ovulating and dh will be having SA done!
