5 days late, could this be implantation bleed?

I thought I was getting my period (a couple of spots of very red blood, but literally a couple ) but I am now five days late. I've also had some cramps low in my pelvis, but I don't normally get cramps with periods.

Do you think this might be an implantation bleed? I am v confused... going to buy a test this afternoon but wondered if anyone else had similar experience?

Agree with lulumama that you will only know with a test, but when I was pg with ds, I spotted from an implantation bleed and then had the lower abdomen cramps before I found out I was pg.

I had a tiny period when I was first pregnant, just 2 days, with a lot of cramping. I knew my mum had continued having periods for a couple of months when she was pregnant with me, so I tested and it was positive.

As Lulu says, there's only one way to find out! Well, two actually. I suppose you could wait 9 months .

I agree - I had implantation bleeding then period like cramps for the first four weeks or so....

FWIW , i had spotting the day my period was due when i was expecting DD....so thought that was it, and when my period had not come on properly, i did a test and it was positive !

Have had the same spotting with first 4 and cramps so could well be same for you but lulumama is right you need the test. Best x

Try to wait to do a test with your first pee tomorrow morning. The hormone levels might be higher.

Yes, and it was negative.

Still no period though! The last one was the first one I've had since DS's birth, so maybe my cycle is awry? Will wait and see... thanks for the advice ladies

I'm 5days late. Today I had a slight cramp like an attack of the runs and about a teaspoon amount of blood.

Normally when I start a period I get severe cramp for at least a day and then I bleed which is quite heavy by the evening.

Others symptoms have been needin to pee loads and a bit of nausea. Thinkin it's all in my head now.

Any news stressed? I am 2 days late and have had v similar symptoms along w funny taste in my mouth. Have been trying for 12 months after a mc last Easter for DC2 so am scared to hope...how are you?
