Is ovulation spotting a thing?

So I'm cd16 & I normally ov cd17-18 but I've had spotting for the last half a day. It started off as a streak of bright red blood in ewcm and just now was more cloudy and pale brown/pink. We dtd about 8 hrs before the first streak of blood.

My opk's have been negative so far but definitely got stronger today. I've never had mid-cycle spotting ever!

Has anyone ever had this and gone on to get a positive opk or bfp?!

It can be but more likely to be a grazed cervix from sex. Nothing to worry about I don't think. I had it this month following ovulation. So had already had a positive opk.

@juneybean I'm just worried as I haven't had a positive opk yet!

Anyone else experience this?

What sticks are you using? The little strip ones can be tricky and I often used to miss my surge.

@juneybean think I just got a positive opk!

Looks pretty good! You will ovulate in the next 12-36 hours I reckon!

I heard that the dip in oestrogen just prior to ovulation can cause tiny amounts of spotting.

The month I conceived was the only month I've ever experienced ovulation spotting. For me it was pink ewcm and only when wiping. Goodluck hope it's a good sign for you :)
