Bit of a long story, stick with me....! Hi everyone. I’m kinda new here, I was a member 3 years ago under a different name when I was ttc with my now ex husband. Also now 2.5 years divorced so it didn’t last long. Ttc for a couple of months with no joy but relationship broke down for totally separate reasons. I stayed off the pill and didn’t seem to get into a natural cycle at all, I went 6 months without a period and ended up going to the doctors to see what the problem was. Got refferred to a specialist and told I had PCOS. No big deal to me at the time. Seemed to get into a cycle then about 30-34 days, pretty regular. Fast forward to earlier this year, went back on the pill for a couple of months and hated it so came back off. No problems after that, still seem to be in a regular cycle, 30-32 days pretty much for the last couple of years. Now cd 36, not ttc, using condoms, maybe have the odd dangerous encounter. Been with my current partner for a year now, I’m almost 31 and he’s almost 33 and we have spoken a lot about marriage kids etc but just not quite there yet but it definitely wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world by a long way. Anyway, back to the point. Ive got long going issues with my bladder which they've now said could be endometriosis, so I had a scan on Monday and was there for ages, the nurse doing the scan was really thorough and showed me everything and talked me through it all. She said I definitely did not have PCOS....! So measured my ovaries and said one was higher cc than the other which is apparently what happens before your period, not sure if this also happens when you conceive? Now CD36 and no sign of af arriving any time soon. Had awful headaches for the last 3 days and I’ve been getting bouts of dizziness for a few weeks now but just put it down to pre Christmas diet and work outs. Did a clear blue digital test last night, probably should have done it this morning but didn’t, I drink a lot of water so potentially diluted but it was negative. Heard about these digital tests so took it apart and there were lines but who knows?! Not really sure what to do next. I tried to upload a photo but it says i can't because I'm new....

Could it not be a case of your cycle being a bit wonky again? That can happen even with normally regular cycles. I have 28 day cycles and one month I had a 34 day cycle for no apparent reason. Your symptoms won’t be anything to do with pregnancy, if you were getting pregnancy symptoms, you’d also be getting positive tests (preg symptoms don’t appear until around 4 weeks) Also taking a pregnancy test apart makes it invalid as you’re likely to get evap lines which then look like a positive when they’re not. It does sound to me like you’re just late which could be to do with ovulating late or not ovulating at all this month which is fairly common. Maybe give it another week and then test again?

Normally i would agree with that no questions asked, but something feels different which is what's concerned me. Had thought much about the things I've felt over the last week or so until I got to a point where I was 4 days late and hadn't had any of my normal symptoms pre period. Probably something completely different, but who knows. Going to do a FR tomorrow with fmu and see, if that's negative I'll rule it out. It's just that things are starting to add up, dizziness, tiredness, vivid dreams, felt sick all day today (and I have pushed it to the back of my mind to stop me imagining things). I haven't been ttc so I've not been looking for symptoms, if that makes sense. We will see what tomorrow brings. Thanks for your advice though, you could be right x

Yeah I was the same the month my period was almost a week late. I felt “different” and my normal tww symptoms were also different. But symptoms in the two weeks before your period is due are purely hormonal (whether you turn out to be pregnant or not) so try not to read too much into it. Hope you get your bfp :)
