So.. We've recently started TTC (3 months now.. and ovulation test positive today) and my partner's overall attitude to life is more relaxed than me with 'if it happens it happens' and I can't help but be a bit more of a control freak about it.. ovulation testing, using Ovia app etc. But now it's getting to a stage for me where sex is becoming 'a process' that has to be timed right... it doesn't help that I manage projects for a living so I think I'm treating this a bit like one too! Does anyone else feel like this? I need to learn to relax and wait for it to happen, but with each month going by I'm getting more tense about it.

Got to mirror si1ver on this one lol 13 months and counting and it can seem very military. We do dtd outside of the fertile window which we can do spontaneously and there’s no schedule which helps break it up a bit but in terms of dtd in FW, I’m not sure there’s any way to make it sexy!

Agreed! Dtd in fw is a bit mechanic. We're trying to keep it fun with a few added extras but it is pretty much just functional!

Yeah, when we were doing it the sperm meets egg way we just bought some preseed and agreed not to try and impress each other.

Maybe a list of stuff you'd like to do and pick one out of a hat each time you go to dtd?

Girl I totally understand I do projects for work as well and I have this month treated it like a project but we have laughed and been excited about it again. Been try 13 months now. I have felt different this month so I hope it's out lucky one. But I totally get you. To be fair whatever works for you!

I remember this and the night I fell pregnant was just after I deleted the ovulation app and made an appointment with the Gp, got super drunk and wore naughty clothes. Obviously not going to work for everyone but was so much fun at the time after all the scheduled sex those drunk date nights are over now!

DTD outside Fw if you can face it. I asked DH how much he wanted to know like did he want to know when FW is it just go with it when I pounce haha! After first he said he didn't feel like he needed to know but 13 cycles in he's pretty much clued up about the whole thing! We also have a pact that it's not just me that initiates it so don't feel as much pressure.

Other things like still having a date night and dressing in nice underwear so you feel nice is important too. If you are using preseed it can be inserted up to 30 minutes before so although for you it will be planned you may not have to stop in the passionate moment of having a nice snog to go and squirt some up there! (Sorry!) Not the most romantic!

Try not to talk about it all the time I found it consumed my life!
