I think this is a BFP at 12dpo but worried they are too faint

Morning!

I tested today (12dpo) with the frer and got the attached result - am I right in thinking this is my super faint BFP?

I had a miscarriage in the summer and didn’t test til AF was a week late then so obviously the lines were so much darker.

The next issue is I have a job interview today..! Now if I am pregnant I can’t take the job (if I was even offered it) but if I’m not then I would go for it. They’ve also asked for me after I interviewed for another position months earlier so I feel like it’s would be so rude of me to now say I don’t want to go to the interview. Do you think it would be okay for me to go and then in the event they offer me the role say that my personal circumstances have changed (if everything is all okay with the pg then?)

This is all a bit surreal Confused
Think I’m going to buy some digitals and double triple check before I tell my husband!!

I got my faint BFP on a Saturday when I due to have a job interview on the Monday. I couldn't have done the job if I was pregnant so I made the decision to phone them early on Monday morning and pull out of the interview. I explained that I'd just found out I was pregnant and apologised for the short notice Grin

Congratulations!! Flowers

Thanks Queen I guess I’m just hesitant because sadly my last pregnancy didn’t end well, bleeding started at 6 weeks. I definitely wouldn’t leave my job if this pregnancy does stick though, maternity pay etc.

Well either way you wouldn't be entitled to smp as you've only just conceived so i would go for it then turn it down. As at least where you are you would get smp

Congratulations though! Xx

SantaBaby1 · 20/12/2017 07:43

My current job has an excellent maternity pay scheme (5 months full pay) so I guess I’m best sticking where I am for now! Thanks so much Owl

I would go for the interview and see what happens too. I was in a similar situation of going for interviews in the early days of pregnancy a couple of years ago and having had a previous mc, I decided to go so that if the worst happened, the silver lining would be that I could take the job.

Hollymchollyface · 20/12/2017 07:44

Oh and congrats by the way!!

ZigZagandDustin · 20/12/2017 07:44

You'd expect it to be very faint at 12DPO. Congrats!

QueenAmongstMen · 20/12/2017 07:48

I was the Same OP as previous to that BFP I'd been pregnant about 9 months earlier but had miscarried at 6 weeks.

I decided to stay positive and made the judgement call to cancel the interview.

Good luck!!

boatrace30 · 20/12/2017 07:51

Very similar to the line I got at 12dpo! 25 weeks now Smile congrats!

PenelopePickle · 20/12/2017 08:11

That’s definitely a positive line OP, congratulations!

I tested positive at 12dpo on a FRER and my line looked very similar to yours, I’m now 27 weeks pregnant with twins so I wouldn’t worry just yet. I hope all goes well for you.

Thanks so much everyone!
Cautiously optimistic (and now facing a true test of my acting skills with a week with our families over Christmas and hiding not drinking!!)

Thank you op 😊

Your pregnancy test made my day! Love hearing good news, too much bad news in the world. There is a non alcoholic Kopparberg if you like the normal version? Looks identical. Also water can be disguised as alcohol if self pouring!

I told my family around 3/4 weeks with both of mine as I was too excited which is silly really but I couldn't help it. Have you told dp/dh yet?

SantaBaby1 · 20/12/2017 10:32

Aw you’re so right, so much sadness in this world isn’t there? I have decided I am going to try my best to be relaxed and positive Smile

I love kopperburg so that’s a good shout!! Thank you 🙂

I haven’t told DH yet. Think I’ll tell him tomorrow - hopefully get a digital test today and have it in writing haha. I would love to have waited til Christmas Day to tell him but it’ll be far too suspicious that I’m not drinking!!
