Coming off the pill

Just a quick question: for those that used the pill did your periods return fairly quickly after coming off it or was there a long delay before the usual cycle returned? Thank you

@Karigan1 mine returned to a 28-30 day cycle immediately but I think I was lucky and I had v regular cycles before I went on the pill

Nope, I had a 52 day cycle before my first period came back. I'm currently on day 22 of my second cycle since coming off so waiting to see what happens. Good luck!

I stopped taking cerazette in August and periods still haven't returned which is so annoying when we want to crack on with TTC. I checked with my GP and she said anything up to about 6 months is a normal wait for hormones to sort themselves out afterwards, and there's nothing you can do to make them resume any quicker

Ok thanks guys. Could be anytime then. Came off it around 18.11.17 and know I ovulated round the 4th so kind of expected it this weekend. Maybe tomorrow lol. Used condoms this month during green week as wanted to make sure all the chemicals were gone and the vitamins in before ttc so shouldn’t be pregnant. But can’t say we’ve been too careful post green week so am just weighing up if I should go and buy a test or leave it a few days. Think I’ll leave it a few.

I came off the pill about 5 months ago and my periods are just starting to return back to normal. It's different for everyone but I'd recommend an app to track your cycle as it's so much easier

Mine took 6 months. I was on noriday, came off in June and got my period on Tuesday. Very frustrating having to wait but it did happen eventually.

Came off end of September, first cycle was 31 days long, second cycle was 28 days long, got my bfp yesterday on my third cycle :) thinking it’s 28 days long too xx

Withdrawal bleed come straight after stopping the pill and my first period started a month after :) goodluck xx

Came off in June had a 31 day cycle in July and then bfp on second cycle in August :) Good luck!

Came off Cerelle 20th October after being on it 3 years and no withdrawl bleed or period yet x

I came off the pill beginning of March, normal withdrawl bleed then nothing for 38 days, then 33, 32, 30 and been 29-32 since.
I wish i came off the pill sooner to allow my body time to get back to normal
