They assume the classic 28 day with ov on day 14 cycle which is not necessarily how your cycle works so they not to be relied on. How long is your cycle?

best thing you can do is to have sex every few days in the 2 weeks middle of your cycle and also look out for cervical mucus when you wipe for best chances. Cm is like egg white and you'll notice it when you wipe after going for a wee. If it's clear and stretchy that's it and you're ovulating.

best of luck!

but I loathe that "bd" thing. Why don't people just say "shagged"! Or even "made love" if you are politer than me

how about the ovulation test isnt that more reliable then the calculator? That did come up positive friday and according tho the instructions it did say it meant i would be due to ovulate within the next 12 to 36 hours. I did type in my cycle which is 31 days.

Even if I type in my cycle lengths on different sites I get different, even by a few days, ovulation days!

I found this site really helpful. Charted my cm and then started noticing ov pains around day 16/17 so I knew I was ov'ing later than the ov calc was saying. HTH
