DTD over Christmas

I’ve started using some fertility tracking apps since AF finally arrived on Tuesday (I came off the pill in June, no bleeding since, they thought I’d had a premature menopause at 23 and were going to test for it if no period by January - much rejoicing at AF arriving at last)

I had irregular cycles before the pill stopped my periods for 4 years, and I don’t know what it’ll be like now having only had one period so far. Ovia, Clue and Glow are all using an average 28/29 day cycle as an estimate until I tell them otherwise. They are all saying my fertile window is 23rd-26th. So that’s my birthday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

The in laws are going to be sleeping in the next room Grin this is just my luck! Anyone else having to navigate dtd around a festive fertile window? What are your plans to get some alone time?

We're sleeping on a mattress in my parents living room floor for a couple of nights, exactly when the app is predicting that I'll ovulate! I've spoken about it with DH and we agreed we'll just dtd quietly and they can deal with it 😂

Not a festive window, but had booked to see friends down south months before we even considered TTC. When it came to it, it was during ovulation and we would be sleeping in the living room of their one bed flat. We dtd just before we set off (cd11). I couldn't bring myself to do it whilst there and we never got the chance when we got back as DH was working away. Got a bfp 2 weeks later!

DH is suggesting that we furnish our guest room with a large bottle of gin, two pairs of earplugs and a note saying “do you want this grandchild you’ve been nagging us for or not!?” Grin

Omg that’s hilarious!! Please please do that! Haha

I’m very tempted Grin although I was once told by MIL that DH is “such a good daddy” - he has no kids but demonstrated what a good dad he’ll be by taking the dog outside for a toilet trip, apparently.

I was also informed that we should have the aforementioned dog sleeping downstairs, because him sleeping upstairs is “not conducive to intimacy”, so maybe they won’t mind us loudly going at it in the next room 😂
