Brown spotting and cramping just after getting BFP

Hi everyone,
I got a BFP on a clearblue test and FRER yesterday, and also a positive on a digital clearblue this morning that said 1-2weeks. However a few hours later I've had some cramping and now some brown coloured discharge when wiping.
I'm panicking as is this likely a chemical preg?
Should I be seeing my GP on Monday if it continues or start to get proper bleeding. Or is it a waste of time and likely it's over before it even began??

Brown is old blood, it could be from implantation. The cramps could be things settling down and adjusting. Try and stay positive, you can't change the outcome. Sending you love.

I've had 4 pregnancies. One had the same symptoms you describe and all was well, my eldest DD . 3 had brown blood at around 8 weeks and 2 were ectopic and one is now my youngest DD.
Early testing is not helpful sometimes. Try not to stress too much xxxx

I had that with my youngest, an early scan showed abit of blood built up behind the sac, where it implanted, and as it was growing the old blood was being dislodged and released. I went on to have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby whos 4 now.

Try not to worry at this point. As long as theres no substantial / bright red bleeding and the tests stay positive just rest up. Anything more develops ring your gp for a referral to early pregnancy unit xx

Thanks ladies. I wouldn't test early normally but it's works Christmas party tonight so wanted to check just to know whether I could risk a drink or not.
I will try and keep relaxed about the whole thing for now xx

Hi guys, just a little update. Spotting mostly settled, have the occasional bit but never fresh blood.
I am around 6w2d, just nervously waiting for a private scan at 10w to see what's going on :)
