Please share with me. Had a chemical earlier this year. Just got another BFP. Please tell me good stories about successful pregnancies after a chemical. Please be gentle. I am scared.

Sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy but congratulations! I had one last year in March at 5/6 weeks. I then had a period and was pregnant again the next cycle in april. I was very nervous about telling my husband as he was possibly more devastated than i was. I was quite cautious, didn't want to let myself get too excited - especially as I had very little symptoms. I relaxed slightly after I passed 7 weeks but the knicker checking carried on for months (although I'm pretty sure alot of women do that anyway!). My DS is now 10 months old and perfect. Just take things at your own pace, maybe get an early scan if you think that will help ease your mind.

Thank you SO much for your reassurance. I haven’t told DH yet for similar reasons that you give. We went through a really tough time after it and neither of us handled it very well. I don’t want to get either of our hopes up yet. So pleased it worked out for you. Thanks again x

When did you tell your DH?

Anyone else?

I actually only did a test because I was going on my friends hen do and I wanted to just see the negative & go have a good time. I didn't have any symptoms at all so when it was positive I was completely in shock. I had about 10 mins before I had to leave, didn't have time to say anything to DH and had to work out how to hide not drinking on a hen do! I got back home the next day and was so nervous DH knew there was something up so I just blurted it out. He was obviously overjoyed, don't know why I was worried so much. He wasn't as cautious as me and told his friend straight away! But definitely tell your DH, it's happy news to share and if you are worried about it then he can help to talk it through.

Thanks boodles. I’ve told him. We’ve agreed to take it one day at a time and not get excited yet.

Well done that's great. Do you know how far along you are?

hopingandprayingthistime · 17/12/2017 11:24

I had a chemical in September then got pregnant again the beginning of October and had another!! I got pregnant again the end of October and now I’m 9 weeks along and all is going good this time. After two In A row I thought something was wrong with me and I’d never carry longer than 4 and a half weeks. At the beginning of this pregnancy I became obsessed with testing as soon as I seen a faint line at 8dpo and I tested 3 times a day using first response. I spent hundreds of pounds on tests but it did ease my mind, Iv had 4 early scans and my baby is growing fine so I feel more relaxed now Iv seen my little baby moving with a heart beat and measuring to date

Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly for you this time Nikki. All sounds really positive. When was the earliest scan you had?

Nikki2ol6 · 17/12/2017 12:31

I had one at exactly 5 weeks as my dr took my blood and in 7 days it went from 88 to over 4000 so I had a scan at 5 weeks exactly but it was just the sac and yolk sac, but they said the yolk sac was a good sign. Then another at 6 weeks and 3 days and we seen the heart beat this time

hopingandprayingthistime · 17/12/2017 15:38

Congrats Nikki hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well x

I really needed these stories today. Had three positive tests Sunday/Monday/Tuesday last week. Had bleeding last night, went to the hospital to be told 100% not pregnant after blood tests. Now very upset and unable to put my faith in home pregnancy tests. Will be ttc again at the end of this month x
