Don't know what just happened

I just took an internet cheapie hcg test because although I've had my period already, I felt sure it was different from usual and like I'd had a CP or something. Anyway boobs are still sore and I'm CD8. And I just feel 'weird'.

I took the test and didn't expect anything. But very faint second line appeared, not next to the control line but a bit further away. It got darker then when I looked again after a minute, it had disappeared.

Is this just a faulty test?

I know it's probably nothing but wanted to check in with you ladies and see if you'd had similar.

It's just dye moving up the test. Dye anywhere other than where the "positive" line should be doesn't really mean anything.

I realise that, but it actually formed a proper line next to the control line and when I looked again it had gone/faded

They all do that then fade to a negative if negative . Sorry op

Ah fair enough. I'd just never seen a line like that before, despite doing tests lots of times previously. Usually it was just a blank. Thanks x
