Been off the pill for a few months and etc. In the past have fallen pregnant immediately after coming off the pill but on cycle 3 this time with no luck.

So AF arrived 2 days early last month which is unusual for me. Flo app said I have as due on Saturday but no sign. I figure I might be a couple of days late just getting back in sync so would maybe start on Monday but nope.

I'm now 4 days late. No sights of AF. No pregnancy symptoms (previously had excess burping and bad skin by this point but nada).

Did a Frer last night which was negative. Did an IC tonight was also negative.

In the past I've never got my BFP til one week late but always had tell tale symptoms so I knew it was likely but there is honesty nothing this time.

I'm the past I've had 3 chemical pregnancies and I'm wondering if this is number 4!

I've not been ill recently or had any disruption to my schedule or any stress so why else might I be late?

Late ovulation is the main culprit. Even if you have a cycle that is regular as clockwork, you can ovulate late sometimes which puts your period out of whack. This especially happens after coming off hormonal birth control. My cycles are 28 days and I ov on cd14 and it’s been like that since I started having periods. A few months ago though, I didn’t ovulate until cd20 which meant my period was almost a week late which had never happened to me before. I had no PMS that month either. The month after, I ovulated on cd11 so my period came early. Again, I’ve never had that either. It’s hard to not overhink when your body does something out of the norm but considering you’re not long off birth control, I wouldn’t overthink too much. If AF hasn’t shown up in a week, take another test and if it’s negative then unfortunately you’ll just have to wait it out. Good luck. And I’m sorry to hear about your losses

Thanks bubblegum.

Now approaching 7 days late. 4 more negative tests including another Frer!

If there's nothing come Monday I'll test again then maybe make a doctors appointment.

I wouldn’t bother with the doctor to be honest, they’ll just send you away. There’s not a lot they can/will do if you’ve only been ttc for a few months even if you are getting strange periods (or lack of!) They will simply say that is a side effect of coming off hormonal birth control and those side effects can take a year to settle down. And they’re right. I know that doesn’t make it any less frustrating though!

I would give it a few more months and see how things go before you speak to a doctor. It could be that it takes longer than usual for your body to get into the swing of things this time. I would say that being a week late and getting negatives means you’re not pregnant and it’s an ovulation issue. If you’ve been ttc for say, 9-10 months with no luck and a lack of periods or extremely irregular periods, maybe go and speak to your GP. Most wont do anything for you until you’ve been trying for at least 12 months but if you’re having cycle issues, they may make an exception. Can’t hurt to ask anyway :)

Thanks - AF arrived today! A whole 9 days late. At least I know what’s happening now!
