First period after miscarriage

Did anyone else have a horrendously bad first period after they’d miscarried?

I have had such pain on my left hand side, low down, almost in my hip.

It’s been heavier than usual, and shows no sign of stopping at 6 days.

I’ve also had a horrid upset stomach, been sick a couple of times and had cramps bad enough to make me bend double.

Should I be worried or is this a fairly normal experience?

Mine was pretty bad. Painful, heavy, clots like pieces of liver 😨. It lasted longer than usual too.

If you're worried call the GP. I hope things get better soon

I had a pretty heavy and painful first period after my MC Sad I thought my periods in the past had been bad until I experienced that, I couldn't believe how heavy it was and the pain was unbearable. It did pass though, after many hot water bottles and Nurofen, if you are worried at all maybe give your doctors a phone and I'm sure they could offer some advice. So sorry to hear about your MC Thanks Hope you are doing okay x

Thank you Si1ver and webster144 that’s reassuring to hear but I’m sorry you both went through it.

More painkillers and a hot water bottle it is, then! If it gets worse, I’ll see my GP.

Thank you.

@TwoDrifters mine was similar to yours. The period I've just had (3rd cycle after mc) is the closest to how they used to but still a little bit heavier.

So sorry to hear about your mc x

sophherts Thank you. Maybe they just take a while to “normalise”, then. Sorry for your mc, too. Flowers
