Sorry to anyone who uses multiple forums, I've posted this elsewhere as well as mumsnet, but just looking to get as many people's input & thoughts as possible.
Bf and I are off contraception & casually trying but not really hard core ttc (not timing ovulation, temps etc.) I've been on the pill for 7years so can't really remember what ovulation felt like before. This is my first month off-pill, I had thought last week should roughly have been ovulation time but now I've calculated I think it was more likely the week before as I'm due AF tomorrow IF my hormones have sprung back to a normal cycle that quickly which I know some people's do & some don't. Much DTD over the last two weeks due to having been away before & missing each other. Last week I had these not-exactly-painful but very obvious pinprick sensations around my lower abdomen on & off, over a couple of days but not all day.
I searched Google & it comes up with already pregnant ladies discussing it & if it's a concern for baby etc, but it's near impossible I'm already THAT pregnant. I saw other posts where ladies were discussing if they were in-tune enough to feel implantation (the timing seems to add up but I don't really think I'm one of those special people who's that aware of these sensations). But there was another thing about ovulation pains, which seems more plausible but the timing is off (unless of course I'm having a longer than 28 day cycle, which wasn't unusual for me before my pill, that was half the reason I went on it, long unpredictable cycle lengths) has anyone any experience with these pinprick feelings? Stories appreciated, thanks lovely ladies :)

Hello,

I have been on the pill also and when I am not on it, I get these exact type of pains for about 2 weeks in my cycle (ovulation onwards), I get them around ovulation, I had them when I implanted with my 1st and I also had them early on in my pregnancy (from 5 weeks onwards). So really, it could be anything. I know that isn’t much help but the best thing to do is not to worry about what they are/aren’t and unless they are excruciatingly painful, ignore them :)

I find that when ttc you scrutinise every single pinch and pains. Ignore them, relax and enjoy ttc. Good luck!! Smile

It will either be ovulation pains or side effects of coming off birth control. Either is completely normal
