possible annovulation?

I have been told I am perimenopausal due to consistently elevated FSH levels. I don't dispute this but I can't seem to get much info about it so I can keep a track on 'how long I've got' (I'm 38)
My cycle length is a bit irregular in that it can vary from 26 to 29 days. This month had 2 days of brown staining and then bright red after day 29 (today day 1). But its very light, used a tampon 1st thing but turns out didn't really need one. Is this a sign of annovulation? if so why did I have physical pms syptoms a week before AF due
I'm worried that my perimenopause is progressing faster than I'd like.
I remember having light periods on other occasions but not this light. Could the other light cycles have been annovulatory cycles as well.
Hope someone can help me with this. thanks

What does perimenopausal mean? Sorry to be ignorant!

thought you could do with a bump up too!

Hi, thanks for the bump!

perimenopausal is the period leading up to the menopause (can be anywhere up to 10 years before) where fertility starts to wane. Main indicator is increased FSH levels.

I've not found much information or heard of other people in a similar situation on mumsnet so am getting most of my info of internet which can sound a bit bleak so don't like to keep looking for info. Would much rather hear of actual experiences

AF this month was very light on day 1 then heavier on day 2 which is very odd for me. Then today, day 3, very light like at the end of AF. Wasn't sure if this meant an annovulation period as it wa different to other months
