HI guys,

I posted a few weeks back about periods being very irregular. Tried going on the pill for a couple of months to regulate my body which it did so stopped however had differ ex cycles length since stopping the pill. Last one was 46 days long.

However had a blood test at the doctors on Monday and the receptionist called to say that the doctor wanted a telephone call with me about my results however that's not until Wednesday as that's the next available my doctor is in apparently it's not an emergency or anything but it's really playing on my mind. I'm not sure what I'm asking here really just wanted to see if anyone on here had something similar and what the outcome was. I had my scan today and the lady who did it said that everything looked normal but that the results would be with my doctor within a week.

What would the next steps be if there was a problem with my bloods? What problems could there be with my bloods? And any other advise any of you have would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Laura

I had the same. We also had to make a doctors appointment to discuss the results. I don’t think the receptionist would tell you. My DH also had his sperm tested.
Our results both came back normal which was good but at the same time, we got no answers for why it wasn’t happening for us. The doctor noted that we seemed a little deflated!
I have a medical condition which meant that we were referred to a fertility clinic after that appointment but it was over 2 months away and very fortunately, I had to cancel because we got pregnant.
I suspect if your results are normal, you might have to wait another few months before you could be referred to a fertility specialist but I do think it depends on where you are in the country. Ie London - more demand, longer wait.
I hope you get good news when you go Smile

Depending on your results, you GP might suggest some meds. For example, ladies with PCOS often find Metformin helps. Otherwise, there are things like Clomid to help you manage your ovulation.

Importantly, though, if you aren’t healthy with a healthy BMI, then a healthy diet and lifestyle could make a lot of difference.

Thanks for your replies ladies.

I guess I will just have to sit and wait until Wednesday. Just u know when it plays on your mind alot. I was kind of hoping that at my scan today they were going to tell me we were pregnant as I've felt differently just lately but maybe that's me subconsciously thinking / hoping and praying that I was. After trying for a year I would have hoped it would have happened by now however no such luck. I've got a 5yo and didn't have any trouble in conceiving her so not sure what's going on with my body now.

Hopefully it's our time again soon.

Thanks again ladies x

HI guys,

I had my blood test results back which said that my progesterone levels were negative however doctor said that it could just have been at the wrong time in my cycle. I had a 46 day cycle last month and the blood test was done on day 23. I had another blood test on Wednesday day 32 and awaiting the results from that. I had an ultrasound scan which stated that everything was normal. Normal uterus and lining ovaries etc. The doctor did say that if after these blood tests it didn't show that my progesterone levels were positive she would send me to a gynecologist. Has anyone had to through going to a gyno and what can I expect?

Many thanks

Hi everyone, I'm sorry to jump on your post I'm trying to figure a lot out. I'm really hoping someone can help me?
In Dec 2015 I seen a fertility specialist I was told an early menopause was imminent, however in April this year I found I was 5 weeks pregnant. Went through a great pregnancy with no issues until 30weeks 2 days n had severe cramping, when I got to the hospital my princess had gone 😢 I delivered my beautiful girl the next day. On 17 October.. last week I got the pm results which were placenta insufficiency. I've been tracking opks ant bbt since I had my angel, I ovulated on cd18 last month. However this month on cd18 I got my peak on cb digital, I dtd 4 days prior to this and the day after. On the Monday (due to not having had ovulation pain and because the smiley stayed there for 48hrs) I took another IC opk that was positive too, so I took another cb digi, again another static smiley.. on wed (yesterday) I took another and still positive (static smiley), same thing today.. I am so confused. I had bloods taken on Monday at cd20 which came back 'no evidence of ovulation' which would be right if I'm still getting peaks. I'm currently on CD23, last month I had a 27 day cycle. Am I going to ovulate? Why all the peaks? And either way can I still expect my AF on cd27? Sorry for the long post, I'm driving everyone close to me nuts because they don't have any answers x
