what does cm indicate exactly?

I'm sure there is a thread on this already but can anyone tell me whether the egg white cervical mucus occurs just before ovulation, at ovulation or just after it?

Is it possible to get it at other points in the cycle?

Just before. The idea is that it holds the sperm, keeps it alive and gets it to the egg. It builds in thickness as you approach ovulation. You have mucus for the rest of the cycle but it is not the EW stuff.

Can I just ask you know just after you conceive like a few days after do you get an increase in discharge? I have gpot two alreayd so I should really know the answer to this and can't rememember!
