For all those trying to conceive number two, and hoping for a festive bfp! Hop over from the previous November thread, or hop on if you're new. All welcome! Smile

My stats:

Age 37
DS 2
Cycle #10
TTC #2 for 10 months; no contraception and NTNP since DS was born in Sept 2015! 😮

@Lopey I really do feel for you, I really hope 2018 will be a better year, sending you a hug coz I think you need one.

SydBound27 · 13/12/2017 02:10

Oh @lopey im so sorry she got you. We were in sync for a while there and i was really hoping this would be your month. Missing the baby you'd started to dream about - yep I've been there too. I remember getting excited a year ago that we might be pregnant for a holiday last July, and it haunted me the whole time when i hadn't had any whiff of a bfp.. still nothing other than a chemical in January.

I've been letting myself believe that this might just be our month, and its so crazy. Ttc is such a drag. Enjoy Christmas and ny and here's to a 2018 bfp xxx

LopeyLopez · 13/12/2017 16:25

Thanks everyone for your kind words.

Onwards and upwards I guess.....will try to get my gp app sorted this week for pelvic examination and scan, and she should have my blood test results by now too so I can see if there's anything untoward there.

Well at least there's no late August baby to worry about for another year now!!!!! (As if that mattered anyway....!)

I think a spring baby would be lovely....so that means getting pregnant next summer. I really hope it happens long before that!!👍

@lopey I've already started poas and only 8dpo.. all bfn with the slightest hint of a line (in my mind only) so I'm not covering myself in glory so far..! I guess I'll know within a week. My dh birthday is next week so would really love to surprise him with a bfp.. No pressure! Xmas Confused

Kit1411 · 14/12/2017 11:59

Good luck Syd!

LopeyLopez · 14/12/2017 17:57

Yeah no pressure Syd but that would be lovely...good luck x

Good luck Syd. My period is due Xmas eve/Xmas day depending on whether I ovulated Sunday or Monday. But not hopeful this month!

SydBound27 · 15/12/2017 10:50

thanks ladies for all the hopeful wishes!

@paranormal you're still in it until the witch arrives, I'd probably test xmas eve though just so you know whether you can crack open the bucks fizz on xmas morning, no?!

I caved and POAS again this morning at 9dpo.. I think I see something but must NOT get ahead of myself until I can see a line without squinting/holding my phone at an angle/ shining a torch behind it.. Yes, that is how obsessive I have become.. Boobs still killing, like when I was bfing and was engorged so I'm taking that as a sign... oh god..

Kit1411 · 15/12/2017 10:56

@syd it sounds promising, fingers crossed for you. I’m 2 dpo so really hoping this is our month. Have you felt any different since ovulation? I’ve been a bit more cranky and still a mild crampy feeling now with sore boobs and nipples.

SydBound27 · 15/12/2017 11:05

@Kit that all sounds positive! I had sore boobs before my last pregnancy and I never really have this before af so that's why I'm optimistic. What was it like for you for pregnancy #1, symptoms wise? I've had sore boobs etc since 5DPO, and also had some pretty crazy mood swings this week, although tbf it's been a challenging week regardless of TTC. It's all academic though until there's an answer either way..

RhiBee29 · 15/12/2017 11:15

@Kit1411 I'm 2dpo too. If my cycle is 30/31 days as per the last 2 then bfp due NYE which is also DH birthday but I ovulated 4 days early this month so who knows!

Kit1411 · 15/12/2017 11:30

@syd tbh I can’t really remember for #1, he’s 5 so I was pregnant almost exactly 6 years ago and it happened very quick. I just remember feeling very crampy like af was coming then when it didn’t arrive on the day it should’ve I tested and got a positive.
@Rhi aw brilliant we can symptom spot together. My cycle is a little shorter, around 27/28 days, so my af is due / will F off on 28th Dec 😬 so I’m going to test on Xmas morning and either be really happy or really upset (lol maybe I should wait actually until the 26th). Hope you get a BFP, perfect bday pressie for DH!

MynameisJune · 15/12/2017 12:10

Keeping everything crossed for you syd

@kit and @rhi I’m 3dpo here, af due around Christmas Eve/Christmas Day. Not sure if or when I’ll test though.

Kit1411 · 15/12/2017 12:12

@mynameisJune fingers crossed you have a BFP for Christmas.

Paranormalbouquet · 15/12/2017 12:17

Syd that sounds really positive. A line with a light behind it is a line in my opinion! I'll be staying in the middle of nowhere for Xmas with inlaws so will probably try to just wait it out! My boobs are incredibly tender- whenever I've been pregnant before they oddly haven't hurt at all so I think I'm out already.

Probably won't try again in January until I've seen gynaecologist re procedures to increase the chances of a safe pregnancy. Although now I'm over 35 (insert sad face) and been TTC over 6 months maybe I should just take my chances!

Paranormalbouquet · 15/12/2017 12:18

June (great name) we are due around the same time so!

SydBound27 · 15/12/2017 12:24

@paranormal Hopefully the stick tomorrow morning will be more convincing! I'm also just over 35 and have been trying for 19 months so totally feel your pain.. I'd probably still try next month even though you're seeing the gyn as they're not likely to book you in immediately for a procedure (I assume) and it could be a wasted month. Not that you're too old (you're not!) but I'd probably regret not trying unless you think it will get you down.

Paranormalbouquet · 15/12/2017 13:34

Syd the issue is that my cervix is very short and scarred so procedure (pre pregnancy cerclage) would aim to reduce risk of miscarriage/prematurity. But I also think I’d like a look in my uterus/tubes first as will be much harder to do after a cerclage (and I’m convinced there’s an issue there- difficulty conceiving, light periods, early loss is typical of uterine adhesions- given that the damage to my cervix occurred during my CS I can’t see how my uterus is unaffected!).

I know I’m not too old really, just feels like 35 is a milestone in fertility terms doesn’t it!

RhiBee29 · 15/12/2017 21:06

Looks like a few of us are POAS over Christmas...let's hope Santa gives us all a bfp Grin

MynameisJune · 15/12/2017 21:23

@rhi I’m testing Christmas Eve I think. Don’t usually test early but want to drink Christmas Day so i figure it’s worth it this time.

RhiBee29 · 15/12/2017 21:58

@MynameisJune I'd say that was fair justification for POAS early Wine

Worked out I'll be 12dpo on Christmas Day so will probably POAS for the same reason and the 🧀

Kit1411 · 15/12/2017 22:43

I’ll be 12 dpo on Xmas day so I’ll be doing it too. Just have a quick question...I’ve just wiped and there’s some clear stringy goblet type of Cm almost like how my mucas plug was in first pregnancy, anyone had this. I know I ovulated a few days ago as I had a positive ovulation strip so unsure why I’m having this.

Kit1411 · 15/12/2017 22:50

I should also say I’ve had creamy lotion like Cm earlier today.

MynameisJune · 16/12/2017 08:01

@kit ovia told me that your Cm stays stringy if you’ve conceived. Mine never changes when pg but it could be that.
