Hi I had an MC at 4 weeks this happened on the 16th November, roughly when do you ovulate after this and has anyone had an MC and has conceive at their first ovulation after?, I got told by fertility that after an MC a women is more fertile so I'm hoping I will ovulate soon and have another chance 🙂.

Hi Helen. I ovulated about 11 days after my last MC (surgical management).

Helen290 · 28/11/2017 12:12

@Lifeofpies I'm sorry to hear you had an MC was that 11 days from the start or end? Sorry to ask 😔. It's been 12 days from the first day I started bleeding and hardly any discharge (sorry TMI) no sign of an ovulation yet 😔 so annoying not knowing when you will ovulate.

I ovulated about 2 weeks after my MC (at 5 weeks) but mentally I wasn't ready to try again yet.

Fx this month something sticks!

Helen290 · 28/11/2017 15:55

@sophherts I'm sorry to hear that 😔 I have my fingers crossed for you.
I was of course heart broken but I need to move on and try again I'm just getting so impatient now I just want it to happen and it's so annoying not knowing when I'll ovulate and I don't like using the strips as they have never worked for me and drive me mad lol

@Helen290

Fx for you too that you ovulate soon! It's a shitty thing to go through but trying again has definitely helped (for me anyway!).

I've never used the strips but since the mc happened the first TTC cycle I haven't had much chance!

Helen290 · 28/11/2017 16:10

@sophherts I just found they messed with my head and made me obsessive my fertility nurse said it was best not to use them.
before I had the MC my cycles we're irregular after having 9 months without a period but they were finally getting better then this happened so I'm so worried they will be all over the place again just makes it so hard to know when to try so we end up just doing it for a whole 3 weeks to cover it lol just this time my discharge is absent not much at all and I thought as it's roughly 2 weeks after it would be changing 😖

They told me after an MC your more fertile apparently

@Helen290

I'm obsessive enough as it is, think the strips would just send me round the bend!

I track my ovulation through cm which I know isn't 100% accurate because you can have ewcm without ovulating but mine tends to come with ovary pain. Do you track all your symptoms on an app? I've found that really useful to spot patterns in my cycle. Although I guess without a period for 9 months it would be trickier.

Lifeofpies · 28/11/2017 16:22

I had surgical management for MMC Helen, so no bleeding. We did try again without a break this time (history of MC), and I’m now pregnant 3 cycles later. I was also told I’d be more fertile.

Like Soph I have generally based things on CM, but also stared temping after the last MC and found it useful.

Totally understand the need to be pg again. Good luck Flowers

@Lifeofpies @sophherts I do track my CM and symptoms etc on an app but cause my periods were so irregular it was hard to see a pattern, I just have my fingers crossed it want be a long time till I ovulate again

I ovulated just under 4 weeks after I started bleeding with my 1st mc. I'm now 3 and a bit weeks after my 2nd and I'm expecting to ovulated any time now.

This is pretty typical for me because I have long cycles anyway.
