HAS ANYONE EVER HAD A FALSE POSITIVE FROM A HOME PREGNANCY TEST- HONEST ANSWERS PLEASE

I've had a positive and then had my period start 4 days late but I think this was a v early miscarriage rather than a false positive.

no such thing as a flase postive, unless as soupy says it is an early miscarriage

I did the same thing as Soupy, got my period a few days after a very faint line and SWORE to myself not to test early again as i found it quite upsetting!(to think i might have lost it)

I've checked negative tests later, and had a faint line even though I wasn't pregnant (some have called it an evaporation line). In my experience you can't believe a test once the 10 minutes are up - but some people here have fished old negative tests out of the bin, seen a line and were infact very newly pregnant.

if you are unsure whether you are pg could you go to GP and get them to do a blood test on your HCG levels -as this can accurately establish if you are PG

THE FAINT LINES HAVE COME UP WELL WITHIN TEN MINUTES

SKM, the digital tests say "pregnant" or "not pregnant", can you try one of those? Also, check the box for the helpline number and see if they can help. I had loads of very faint lines b4 I got a really nice dark one.

Oh yes, I have had three!! But every time I have taken another test it’s confirmed negative. Also, the three I had were extremely faint. Sadly true! X
