Moon cup and home insemination question

So we done our first home insemination last night with a syringe, mooncup and conceive plus. All went to plan and I’m feeling positive about it. This morning woke up and took the moon cup out and there seemed like there was a lot of ‘juices’ (tmi!) left in the moon cup. To be fair some could have been from me as I’m having a lot of discharge at the moment and didn’t have a strong (another tmi!) sperm smell! We only got 2ml of sperm for the insemination and it’s now got me worried that it didn’t find it’s way up there as looked about 2ml in the moon cup.
I did lay down with 2 pillows under me for half an hour after to help them find their way up.
Anyone had this problem and conceived?
Should I worry about what was left in the moon cup?

Ive never tried this method, but from what ive seen of semen, it tends to lose its thickness and ‘creaminess’ fairly quickly and turns watery. I don’t think that would affect the amount of sperm in there though. Don’t forget that the semen is just there as a kindof ‘carrier’ to get the sperm one place to the next, its thick at first cos its meant to stick better. They can still swim in watery semen. And bear it mind that per ml of semen there can be up to 200million sperm, and you just need that one sperm to reach your egg. As long as the conditions inside you are favourable enough ( ie; cervical mucus, ph etc) for the sperm at that point in time time id say you still have a good chance.

Sounds like youre doing the best you can, try not to worry yourself too much. Best of luck to you xx

**Once the sperm has swam inside you the semen isn’t really needed anymore, so im not sure that the amount that drops back out would be a clue of your chances 😉
