Three days into the two week wait and I'm driving myself insane. Lurking / stalking all the threads on here so I can read others get BFPs and live vicariously through them!!

I almost googled "will I get pregnant this month?" in the hope that some mystical google witch could see into the future for me.

I have lost it. Anyone else?

Haha yip me too. I started off this cycle very relaxed and even during fw was pretty chilled but now the 2ww has begun I've turned mental again I'm a week down, af due a week today but it's the slowest 2ww ever. I'm going to try and hold of testing until next friday if af doesn't show before then

I honestly think, even if we hadn't dtd at all, I would be able to magic up some insane scenario that there might be a chance and still be testing

We only dtd once in fw week so think I'm out too this cycle. Although I keep thinking we've dtd lots over the last few cycles and that hasn't worked so who knows . . . who am I kidding!

We've also done it just once in window. And similarly I've had the same thoughts about well we've been shagging non stop every other month so surely this is it...

Thank you . Good luck to you too. I’m saying af is due Tuesday but that’s based on my 26 day cycle I’ve been having but this cycle I ov 3 days early so don’t know if cycle will be shorter or not.. very confused this cycle

I’m also trying to stay zen about it all! I’m still googling stupid shit like ‘pinching next to bellybutton’ haha.

Thinking I might have next month off. I’d have to test on xmas morning and that’s too much pressure. I feel like the disappointment of a BFP might spoil xmas day!

Ha! Dingdong - I bet I've googled that too before now! I've been awake since 4 and have been trapped in an endless cycle of compare data I entered on app this time last month to now, google something ridiculous and reading the same threads over and over on this board.

I keep telling myself to bloody well stop it but I don't listen. Please somebody advise me of a failsafe distraction technique before I genuinely lose my mind that ship has potentially already sailed though

I’m guilty of all the above too!!! Either 6 or 7 dpo today! I’ve had a huge breakout of spots which I never usually get until much closer to AF so keep thinking that’s a sign! I know deep down it isn’t though! We only managed once during fertile week too which was on the day of the positive OPK so I swing between thinking it isn’t enough to that it’s perfect timing haha! I’m going mad. Glad to know I’m not alone! FX for BFPs for everyone!

Hi happybus! Your timing sounds spot on - only takes one remember my timing was appalling this month - pretty sure we had the one and only shag about 4 days before ovulation. Knackered from last month probably

Hi balas FX for you some of the swimmers were still kicking around waiting for the egg! It’s deffo possible! I haven’t decided when to test yet, I usually start spotting in the days leading up to AF so if that happens I probably won’t test and just wait for AF. If no spotting by Tuesday then I think I’ll test then! I’ll be on knicker watch from now till then! When are you testing?

You asked for distraction techniques earlier! Mine is the typical keeping busy! I try and have plenty going on in the TWW to give me other things to look forward too and things to take my mind off it! I try and think that me stressing and wishing the time away isn’t gonna change the outcome or make the time go any quicker so I just try and carry on as normal. It’s hard though!!!

Ah thanks for that. You're right it is so hard. I'm in the middle of some very big deadlines but work from home some days and I find that I my time gets totally swallowed up with me ruminating on bloody conceiving. My work is actually starting to suffer which isn't good at all.

I really hope the spotting stays away and you get your BFP. I should wait until Tuesday really - I'll be 9dpo but have a short phase from ovulation to period so will only be two days before I'm due. In reality I'll start wasting internet cheapies from Saturday probably. I so don't want to this month though as last month was horrible when my period finally came and I'd been hoping I'd seen faint lines on tests. I'm a real idiot and glutton for punishment it seems

Yeah it is much easier said then done I know!! I think because we’ve been TTC for quite a while now I’m sort of over it all! I’ve had so much disappointment I just expect BFNs now so it’s easier for me to not get my hopes up. There is that tiny glimmer of hope every month though.....

I think after a while you just expect BFNs. They’re just so sad to look at! Just got to get through to Saturday now. If it’s a BFN then I have wine chilling in the fridge.

At least xmas is a good distraction. Dunno what I’m going to do come January.

Thanks happy. Wasn't too bad but made myself feel crap as I think I ovulated early this month and I'm getting the exact PMS symptoms as last month, 2 days early.

I know I'm not helping myself with this over thinking.

Yeah ‘not pregnant’ is harsh. We should petition them to change the messages. Like ‘not this month love, but keep trying!’ Or ‘why are you testing at 8dpo you idiot?’
