Can you get PMS and still be pregnant?

I'm 8dpo, af due next Sunday and I've been feeling really anxious, irritable, easily annoyed, snapping at the kids etc. I usually get this a couple of days before AF due. It's a bit early for PMS for me but here it is.

Has anybody gotten PMS symptoms and still got their BFP??

Hi, I think you can because of the hormones involved in pregnancy. I think it can affect your mood still especially the during the first missed period. I remember feeling abit low and just couldn't decide what to eat and don't want anything..I wasn't irritable but didn't feel myself .

Periods and early pregnancy are both dominated by progesterone, which is why the symptoms of both are very similar.

When I concieved. I was 6 weeks before I tested, swollen boobs, stomach cramping...All Assumed it was PMS and was already hoping for next month.
The day I tested I went out and bought a new bra as realised mine was not going to fit for at least another 9 months.

When I got pregnant with DS1 it was such a shock as I’d been getting my normal symptoms, sore breasts, cramps, irrational emotions etc so just kept expecting my period to turn up...!

Sounds like I'm still in with a chance :)
