Crazy low BBT - anyone had this?

Hi lovely wise folks!

We are currently TTC no 2. No 1 took about 18 months to conceive, we are in month 4 now so still quite early on.

My BBT pattern is usually quite predictable - temps around 36.3 pre-ovulation, then around 36.6 till af comes. But this month my BBT stayed high through af, peaking at 36.8 on cd3, then dropped to below 36.2 at end of period, still dropping down as far as 36.02 this morning (cd8).

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Not only are the temperatures quite extreme, it's totally out of the ordinary for me so I'm wondering if it's something I should be giving thought to or just carry on as normal?

I go down below 36 during the follicular phase...

Mine are similar to yours, I have hypothyroidism which I know can cause lower temps.

Thanks both, that's reassuring.

Do you think it would be a cause for concern though if temps suddenly started doing this having always been much more predictable (and less extreme shifts) before?

Mine are similar and go down to 36.1-2 on cd7-12 or so. Am getting blood tests for thyroid function as part of fertility screening.

Your temps sound completely normal to me. My pre ov temp is usually under 36 and then 36.3-8 after. Also remember that if your bedroom is cold or your house cold that you might be a bit colder overall.

Sounds normal to me too.

Fair do's. Thanks everyone for your thoughts, I was just a bit thrown by it being so different this month but if lots of you have similar temps I'm sure it's fine I'll just see what happens this month.
