Hi there, new to posting so slightly nervous. Had an ectopic in July and lost right tube. Fell pregnant first time on honeymoon so wasn’t tracking or using opk’s. I’ve started using the Natural Cycles app to try and pinpoint fertile days (honeymoon period is definitely over after stress of last few months!). Has anyone used this and got any comments good or bad? Not sure whether to try another app too like Fertility Friend? Thanks so much in advance for any replies :)

Hi Tilly, I'm so sorry you've had to go through that. I've been using Natural Cycles since August. I had an early miscarriage in February and then was struggling to conceive afterwards (we had been ttc for almost a year in total). I am now 7 weeks (not getting too excited yet and keeping it very much to ourselves). I've found the app really helpful, although it is a bit of a faff taking your temperature every morning. I also used ovulation tests the month I conceived. The two combined gave me a much better idea of when I'd ovulated. It was also helpful to see how often you dtd! I think sometimes we thought we were trying harder than we were! My only word of caution would be try not to get obsessed and take the fun out of everything 😉. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you x

Thank you so much for the reply I’ll stick with it, have to say like you said it’s helpful to have it all laid out how often and when we’ve dtd, I think with working and everything else sometimes days roll into each other. Sending you lots of love and luck for your pregnancy :)

I used natural cycles and FF.

I like that natural cycles is so user friendly - you don’t have to take your temp at the same time every day, just within a 2 hour window. Their algorithm was pretty accurate, but not as accurate as FF

FF VIP is witchcraft. Their pregnancy monitor knew I was pregnant long before I did. It also accurately pinpointed my ovulation every time (NC would often change it a few days later).

Hi Tilly,

Sorry about your hard time. I've enjoyed getting to know my body better with Natural Cycles as I've been using it as a contraception for a year. Will swap soon to use it for trying to conceive. I have a code for a discount if you'd like to us it

I started off using clearblues fertilitymonitor, but after a few months without getting any fertile days I chose to change to the Natural cycles app. So far it seems to be more in correct in finding my fertile days, have used LH-tests to be extra sure.
If anyone else is interested in trying natural cycles, I have referral code with a 20% discount, use this link: www.naturalcycles.com/en/signup/secret?code=referralid20&referral=5c815bd38a5d464085f92608416d508a

But I am curious about the FF app so I just downloaded it. Grin

I’ve used it for about three years and love it, used it to prevent pregnancy for 13 months and then it took two cycles to get pregnant. Good luck with it. There’s a Facebook group i’ve joined which is super useful if you have any questions (although it’s just normal users, not the company).
