Hi ladies,

I’m just looking for a bit of advice.

I came off birth control in September this year. Had my withdrawal bleed around 5 days later. The went on to have a full period on October 16th.

For the past week I have been feeling incredibly bloated after eating, to the point I think I’m going to burst out of my bra and jeans! I was adamant I was going to get my period yesterday as I had pinky discharge in the morning and full on period cramps all day and night (the hot water bottle was my best friend yesterday) . However today I have woken up and nothing! Still got the bloating and odd twinge but nothing like yesterday.

I don’t want to get my hopes up as it’s very early days for us TTC, but just wondered if anyone has been through the same thing?

It’s so weird not knowing what my body is doing and what it’s going to do Confused

Thanks in advance! Xx

You get a lot of pregnancylike symptoms in those first month's off the pill. Take a test.

Thank you for replying!

I think I’ll give it until Monday and if still nothing I’ll take a test. I quite like being in my bubble of ignorance, if that makes any sense xx

I think I speak for 99% of the girls on here when I say that yes, I’ve experienced this lol it’s extremely common after coming off hormonal contraception and to be honest, it’s totally normal to experience “odd” or “unusual” symptoms every month. Some months I can’t fit in my jeans, some months my boobs are agony, some months I have weird twinges, some months I feel super sick and some months I have zero symptoms. I’ve been ttc for a year and I’ve not been pregnant in all that time but the symptoms I get are not ones I used to get before ttc. I’ve come to realise that it’s totally random and they are purely hormonal until you get a positive pregnancy test
