Hello,
First of all hello to everyone, i am 29 years old and have been trying to conceive for the last 5 years and did not really do anything about it until the last few months. I went to the doctors who asked for blood tests *2 which i gave both times were fine. My OH gave semen analysis but low sperm count, now i dont know how low etc but our doctor finally referred us to the fertility clinic in the hospital, we have our appointment in January. I really dont k ow what to expect or what will happen so jist came on this site to actually find out if anyone has been through the same? Or is going through the same? Xx

The first thing they did for me after the bloods was a ultrasound scan to see if I have polysystic ovaries as I had a high LH level in my bloods which suggested I may have this. That was all fine and no sign of PCOS. DH had his SA which was normal. I then had a HYCOSY examination to check my tubes weren’t blocked and I was then prescribed 6 months of clomid to help me ovulate which I’m currently on cycle 4 of taking. Next appointment in February where we’ll be referred for IVF if no joy by then. I would imagine they will refer you for some sort of scan then go from there, possibly more blood tests also!

Yes its the waiting that is so hard! Im finding it so hard because recieving the results were a kinda shock which i suppose would be for anyone. My bloods came back fine byt im not sure what the scans hold 🤔🙄

Hi, jumping in as we just saw our GP this morning. We've been referred on to a fertility clinic. Appointment in 4 weeks time. We both need to get bloods first and OH needs SA doing. I was really nervous before i went but now feel a massive sense of relief.. its weird. Almost like its out of my hands now 😂 no idea what will happen going forward ad no underlying problems that we know of so just taking it as it comes

Sending everyone loads of luck Flowers

It is really a sense of relief that something is going to happen, the waiting around for appointments etc is the hardest. Would love to stay in touch with anyone who is roughly going through the same as me x

Same here @Stillwaiting2016 ! But i just keep thinking if there is a problem at least I'll know and can act and if not it completely takes the extra pressure off. Yea would be good for everyone to update!

I found talking on here really helpful 😊 x
