How did you get pregnant?

I will be trying to get pregnant after Christnas. My Dd was a surprise and so we never actively tried to conceive.
This time we will be trying to get pregnant.
Did you track your ovulation, have sex every day etc.....

I downloaded the Ovia app and started tracking my cycle. We didn’t DTD every day (far from it actually!) but it took about 4/5 months to conceive. The month we did we’d DTD 5 times over the course of my fertile week. I bought some ovulation kits but never got a positive result so just went by my CM.

I did buy about 100 cheap pregnancy tests from EBay, and then when I got my first positive I bought the more expensive Clear Blue test to confirm. It’s an exciting but stressful time - good luck!

First time I temped and tracked my cycle and had sex every day in fertile window but didn't get pregnant until cycle 5 which is when I was on honeymoon and didn't do any of that but had sex twice a day. Second time I just used cheapy opks and got pregnant second cycle. I only actually had sex once in my fertile window, difficult to find the energy with a non-sleeping toddler!

I used a period calendar app for a few years before trying as it was handy to keep track.
When we started trying, I had a basic idea of when I’d be ovulating due to the app and I used my CM as a guide. We dtd every day in my fertile week and twice the day before ovulation!
We were very lucky to conceive

I basically did exactly what honeywheeler did.

I also changed my diet : loads of fruit and veg, less caffeine, less alcohol and sugar.

Started taking folic acid, came off the pill counted 11days from start of my period, had sex. Intended to have more sex until my fertile window was gone but it didn't happen. Poas 14 days later and voila, DS was conceived.

It isn't always the way.
