Having a really weird cycle.

So my AF is now 3 days late (it's CD32.) My cycle has occasionally been 30 days but is generally 28/29 days so pretty regular. I'm pretty certain I ovulated around the 15 day mark. I actually had my infertility clinic appointment this month, on CD22 and my scan there confirmed I had ovulated and lining etc was looking normal for that time of the month.

I am pretty certain I'm not pregnant as we had decided to take a month off trying and only DTD once, a couple of days before I ovulated.

Yesterday and today I've had slight period style cramps like i'm about to come on and the tiniest bit of yucky coloured discharge (sorry for TMI) but no period. It is all very strange.

Just wondering if anyone else has had an unusual cycle / very late period randomly before? Thanks.

Unprotected sex two days before ovulation can certainly result in pregnancy so I think you need to take a test

Have you done a pregnancy test? 17 days seems like a very long luteal phase.

I am currently 16dpo and no sign of Af yet. But on Monday I had a very light period lasting one day and now I'm having brown spotting. So I'm either pregnant or my horemones are messing with my head!

I'm having the tiniest bit of brown spotting when i wipe and some cramps so I suppose i'm just convinced it's about to come on at any point.

I could test but negative tests just make me so sad and I want to avoid it if possible. If that makes sense. I might give it until tomorrow and buy a test then.

Yeah I would wait a day or so and then test. Do you normally spot before your period? Iv never had a period like this, if it even is a period!

Jess1803, I do spot occasionally but normally only for a few hours and it will then gradually get heavier and turn in to AF. This has been very light all day (not enough for a panty liner or anything, literally, just there when I wipe.) I do have cramping through. It's all very strange. Going to buy a test after work.

You could test but if you don't like negative tests then you could give it a few more days and test if you still don't have a period.

Bought a frer so will let you all know in the morning. Been trying for so long now, that I just don’t really believe I could be pregnant. Especially as I’ve had cramping today.

Update: AF arrived this morning. 4 days late. I knew it probably would but suppose I had that little bit of hope at the back of my mind. Thanks for replying everyone.

Sorry to see AF arrived, it's annoying that our bodies play tricks on us! Still no AF for me but having weird right ovary ache every now and again which I normally get when I'm ovulating...

Still no proper AF and two negative HPTs. I used the pound shop ones and am now 17dpo. If I don't come on by the end of the week I will use a first response. I'm having what feels like ovulation pain in my right ovary but negative opk today. It's all so confusing! Starting to worry there's something wrong with me :(
