LOOKING FOR ANYONE WITH ADVICE OR SIMILAR EXPERIENCE.
I THINK I'M PREGNANT,I DID A CLRBLUE TEST LAST MONDAY WHICH CAME UP WITH A FAINT + RESULT, AND THEY DO SAY A LINE IS A LINE NO MATER HOW FAINT. I THEN WOKE UP TUESDAY MORNING TO FIND SOMETHING THAT CAN ONLY BE DESCRIBED AS A DARK BROWN DISCHARGE, THIS THEN PROGRESSED ONTO WHAT WAS LIKE A VERY LIGHT PERIOD FOR A DAY, I THEN HAD A DAY OF NOTHING AND SINCE HAVE HAD THE SMALLEST SMUDGES OF BROWN, I DID ANOTHER CLEARBLUE TEST ON THURSDAY WHICH AGAIN SHOWED A FAINT + HOWEVER IT WAS FAINTER THAN THE OTHER I DID ON MONDAY,, BUT I ALSO DID ONE WHICH SHOWED - , HOWEVER IT WAS FAINTER THAN THE OTHER I DID ON MONDAY, THE DOCTOR HAS NOW TOLD ME TO WAIT UNTIL FRIDAY AND TEST AGIAN.
HAS ANYONE ELSE BEEN THROGH THIS AND WHAT WAS THE OUTCOME, MY DOCTOR MADE ME FEEL LIKE A NEUROTIC COW.... ANY ADVICE/COMMENTS WILL BE GREATFULLY RECIEVED.

Hi skm I personally have not had this I seem to be good at negativesbut my egg donor had to do nine tests before she found out she was pregnant. It's very difficult I know I have just done one and have to do another on Wednesday even though mine was neg but i still feel tired and funny. You just have to wait and hope. I really hope it works out ok for you.

haven't been through anything similar I'm affraid but I do vaugly remember someone telling me with regards to preg tests that you can get a false positive but not a false negitive.

Not sure how true this is - or if it helps. Maybe someone else could confirm.

sorry to disagree angelpoppet but you can never have a false positive, only a false negative. So to help with your question SKM it's likely that you are pregnant but like the GP says, test again on Friday. When is/was your AF due?

have you or your doc considered an ectopic pregnancy mine was under similar circumstances but do not wantto panic you i hope it works out for you

can I add about never having a false positive - you can if you've had fertility treatment and tested too early as there may still be HCG in your system. Hope you get the result you want.

Hmmm, I also thought you couldn't get a false posative only a false negative. I could be wrong though.
I Just thought i'd tell you that i also had a very similar very light period type thing for a day when i was pregnant with DD, a couple of days before i tested (sore boobs made me test in the end!).
