Welcome all anti-fertile fuckers! This is our clique for those trying longer than 6 cycles and are pretty fed up.

Here are our Fucked Off TTC Commandments

  • Thou shall not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shall not give advice to other when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shall not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shall not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shall not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

Our spreadsheet which includes what supplements (and potatoes) we are trying in our journey to motherhood.

Welcome lovely newbies! I'll add you to the spreadsheet ASAP.

I had horrendous cramps last night and was full of stinky wind so half expecting AF today...think she's due tomorrow.

Hello all. AF just starting to show her lovely brown red self. Round we go again !

Unicornberry · 23/10/2017 09:10

@cannon my DH has sperm issues too, what were your DHs numbers? We went private for treatment after being told we could only conceive with ICSI IVF for DC1 and DH had HCG injections and took clomid which increased the count enough (although morphology/motility percentages stayed the same) to get me pregnant although I needed help on my side too. I also have adhesions which I didn't have conceiving DC1 so I'm wondering what this will cause this time! I also have PCOS.

juneybean · 23/10/2017 10:09

Urgh sorry @Janefx40 :( xxx

Welcome all newbies! Great to chat to people who are in the same (pretty shitty) boat. Sending lots of luck to you all.

Sorry to hear you feel AF is coming @juneybean & crap that AF has arrived @Janetfx40. Treat yourself this evening - you deserve it!!

Mrsjones17 · 23/10/2017 10:33

@jane ah what a shitter. Be kind to yourself x

Justwaitingforaline · 23/10/2017 11:19

Morning all, very sorry to hear about the arrival/impending arrival of AF. Be nice to yourselves and have a glass of wine this evening.

I’ve started using OPK’s again the month after not for a good few months and I’m slightly baffled as to the darkness of the test line on CD5. Is that normal? I usually have around 27 day cycles Hmm

just still negative though, perhaps your urine was particularly concentrated, as we always have LH in our urine I believe...

Justwaitingforaline · 23/10/2017 11:36

Juney no idea, I’d forgotten how confusing OPKs can be. We’re giving the SMEP a go this month as that’s something we haven’t tried yet, along with less caffeine and my 2l of water a day.

How are you holding up this month?

Mrsjones17 · 23/10/2017 11:47

So girls what do u think...DH and I are looking at going to Iceland for new year. We've wanted to go for a long time and know it will be expensive. I've looked at hotels flights etc and we want to go the blue lagoon. Went to book it last night and then annoying in the back of my mind was 'what if I'm pregnant'. Won't be able to know until 4th November and hotels are booking up fast....we only had one shot this month and so I think it's highly unlikely considering the past 11 months we've be shagging like rabbits and still nothing! What would you do? Would u book? Or wait? I can't decide. If we are pregnant I can't help but think it would be a lots of money to spend going to Iceland but then I'm also sick of putting my life on hold and being perpetually disappointed...

juneybean · 23/10/2017 11:52

@Mrsjones17 just go for it, it was only a one shot this month and like you say we can't put our lives on hold forever.... and even so, would it be a hardship if you were pregnant? you'd be about 12 weeks?

@justwaitingforaline I'm okay, just trying to battle these cramps....I thought I was 13dpo but now I'm wondering if I'm 12dpo which makes me think it's more likely my period :(

OP posts:
hellybellyjellybean · 23/10/2017 11:59

@Mrsjones17 I would just book it, I worry I do this at times of putting my life on hold and regardless of being pregnant or not Iceland would be epic either way!

Mrsjones17 · 23/10/2017 12:08

@juney and @hellybelly. Thanks that the kind of thing I needed to hear. I think it's more the money side of things than me actually being pregnant. It's going to be over a grand for us to go the Iceland and can't help think we should be saving it. But then for what??

juneybean · 23/10/2017 12:10

Fuck that, babies don't cost that much! Get yourself on holiday man! pgrin]

OP posts:
Justwaitingforaline · 23/10/2017 12:23

Oh Juney, that’s shit. It’s the absolute worst when you feel those cramps sneaking in. I cling onto every inch of hope each month on the offchance it’s some other kind of ‘cramp’. Totally understandable that you’re feeling like crap.

Mrs Go. On. The. Holiday. You’ll kick yourself if you don’t fall by then and you could have been having a glorious Iceland break. Fuck the money. Babies aren’t that expensive!

Mrsjones17 · 23/10/2017 12:23

@juney haha...is it inappropriate to say I love you?! That's the kind of shit I need. 'stop pussy footing around woman!'

juneybean · 23/10/2017 12:28

My missus is the same like "can we afford a holiday" hell yes, I'll prolly still be empty and barren by the time we go on holiday (March) so whats the point of sitting holidayless untill I accept my body is useless.

OP posts:
Janefx40 · 23/10/2017 12:44

@juneybean your body is amazing...it will work, I'm feeling quite sure of that today. It will work for all of us eventually - even me, the geriatric!

I have to say Sooz's news has given me hope - it takes time but it will happen...

Sorry I realise this is a moaning forum not a PMA one!

@Mrsjones17 yes go on holiday. Have an amazing time. Hopefully it will be a perfect way to celebrate a bump, and if not an even more perfect place to drink it up on New Year's!

DoAsDreamersDo · 23/10/2017 12:48

MrsJones my friends went to Iceland and came back pregnant. They bumped into some friends whilst they were there and when they came back they discovered that they also fell pregnant whilst there, so maybe it's a very fertile place Wink

Mrsjones17 · 23/10/2017 13:05

Haha thanks everyone.
@dreamers I'm definitely booking it now!!

QuietTime · 23/10/2017 13:27

Just catching up - hi donkey, bee, black cat, unicorn, spark and any newbies I've missed!

WOW sooz that's fucking awesome - everything crossed for a smooth journey from here xx

Sorry about the baby shower limp. As others have said, good for you for just going.

Nothing much to report here, may or may not be in 2WW...looking forward to going on holiday next week; jones good to hear you're booking yours Grin

Summer1986 · 23/10/2017 13:35

Iceland sounds amazing mrsjones.
Well last night I started experiencing the wolf like sense of smell and my boobs felt like they'd had a tonne of bricks pressing on them so I caved and took a test. Cd23 and I have a golden ticket.
Petrified it will be a chemical/early MC like last time or a MMC like my first.
Going to keep an eye on the thread but won't post as I don't want to upset anyone.
Keeping everything crossed for you all x

QuietTime · 23/10/2017 13:38
