So I tested early i couldn't resist (was negative), AF is due on Wednesday/Thursday. Is that too early to test? Or would it of shown up positive if I was? Are the Clear Blue pretty accurate?

If you have a look on their website it will tell you but from memory I think the rest works 3 days before your period is due.

  • test not rest
Tinks15 · 21/10/2017 17:57

Thanks - it stated on the box up to 5 days early.

Hi Op I've been using clear blue this week from 4 days before af and getting very faint lines each time. Fingers crossed for you x

JoJoSM2 · 22/10/2017 09:23

I don’t know which clear blue it was but the digital pregnant-not pregnant isn’t that sensitive and it would only show up at least a couple of days after a FRER.

Tinks15 · 22/10/2017 13:18

It was the Clear Blue visual test that I did, but I ovulated late this month tested at 8dpo (I think) so not sure if it would of shown up or not.

8DPO is too early to test.
65% of pregnant women will get a negative test at 8DPO. Wait until your period is due so that you can be confident that result on the test is accurate.

Way to early. You could try with FRER in 2-3 days but that Clear Blue is unlikely to show anything for another 4-6 days.

Peanutty86 · 22/10/2017 16:45

I’ve had a BFP (the faintest line ever) on a FRER today, stupidly did a clear blue and of course it said not pregnant at 10dpo.

Tinks15 · 22/10/2017 18:05

Thanks everyone, I will leave it a few days & try again. Maybe go & get a FRER instead.

Congratulations Peanutty Grin

@Tinks15 thank you, I’m not getting my hopes up yet. Def get a FRER, they do a really good deal on amazon prime!

JoJoSM2 · 24/10/2017 14:58

Congrats Peanutty ;)

FRERs can come up 10-13days DPO so worth trying.

lgh05 · 24/10/2017 17:08

@Peanutty86 you should be a sales rep for frer and amazon prime! Haha!!!

OP I bought a clear blue early response and got a very faint BFP this morning. I've just been out to buy a FRER so I can use that this evening and then again in the morning!

Becoming obsessed with testing (only took one test when I was pregnant with DD, I think these boards have turned me psychotic (love it though)

princessconsuelobananahammock · 25/10/2017 17:44

I hate clearblue tests - sorry to be a downer but I had v v faint lines last month & wasn't pregnant. Def not chemical, didn't show on FRER at all. As I say, the line was v v faint but definitely there.
