Does anyone have any tips on getting a period back after having a baby?

Took seven weeks with DS1 but it's nearly ten weeks with DS2 and no sign of a period or ovulation :(

Ten weeks is nothing. Your body needs to recover. Ovulation is an optional extra as far as your body is concerned so if energy is needed for healing and recovering it will probably hold off from ovulating until it's more ready.

You can't force your body into a period.
I didn't have a period until 15/16 weeks everyone is different.

It's funny, I'm keen for mine to stay away as long as possible!

TiramisuQueenoftheFaeries thankyou, I suppose I have to remember that. I think it's just how different it is to the first time that is worrying me.

I'm fourteen weeks postpartum today and still nothing, I had one really big fat positive ovulation test and the rest all negative and am constantly emotional for the last couple days. Glad to hear yours turned out ok after that time, I am trying very hard to be patient!

Starwhisperer I've lost them twice in my life due to eating disorder and had two miscarriages so I find it really comforting having my cycle and knowing everythings OK. Also I have OCD so tracking/planning keeps me feeling calm and we want to start trying in January as well.
