my MIL was due her period monday, had a spot of brown blood, nothing since

she did a test today (wasnt supposed to test till friday) and it was negative

it was done in the afternoon,

but the clinic said if its negative then thats it

but could they be wrong? shes not bled - and has tested 2 days earlier than the clinic told her too, tho her period was due 2 days ago

Shes just been round, she looks really shite

she said she did 2 tests yesterday, the one the clinic gave her and another, both negative

i gave her the tests i got off the internet anyways as they said she still has to test on friday as planned.

part of me still has hope as she is 5 days overdue her period - but part of me doesnt want to have hope because it gets squashed when it doesnt work out again

she told me something that got me thinking thouhg, that when she had her first at 14 that she had done 4 tests all NEGATIVE, but she knew she was pregnant - she had t be examined by doctors who agreed she was pregnant because her tummy was curved and her boobs had veins (this was 26 years ago) but surely if she was that far pregnant and not getting positive results that could be a factor??

No they are not wrong. The drugs they give sometimes give you a false reading if done to early.
If its negative then Im afraid its negative

But hey, im open for a miracle

but on another site a lady said she had a neg at 14 dpt and then tested again the day after & got a +,

its so bloody confusing

its the fact when she was young she was getting negs at 3 months preg thats pulling at me

Well there is no harm in her trying a test again. It will put everyones mind to rest.
