Spotting three days before AF - problems TTC

Hi ladies

Have done lots of googling and responses seem really varied and hard to follow, often quite old threads.

I spot (brown) from 3 days before AF is due. Some things seem to say low progesterone, others saying it may not be a problem, even some where people have said they've had to have IVF or been getting pregnant and had multiple miscarriages.

Have any of you had this whilst TTC? Did you manage to get pregnant, or did you try things to stop it?

I'm 25, on cycle #4 and was on the pill for a couple of years. Didn't have spotting when not on the pill but often did if I ran packs back to back. Feeling a bit down like this could be signs of a bigger problem Sad I know it can take a while, but I have OCD and do tend to get quite anxious over things which isn't very healthy, so thought I'd see if anyone had any experience/suggestions.

Yes. Although it has gotten a lot better since I started taking a vitamin c tablet daily. I only take that with a vit d and my folic acid. Also adding things into your diet to help strengthen the luteal phase may vastly improve it. I have been TTC over a year though so my problems are probably slightly different to yours. By all my research the spotting isn't an issue on a successful cycle and you're still so early on that I wouldn't worry at this stage. Try the vitamin c and see if it helps. Otherwise maybe ask your GP to test your progesterone levels maybe?
