Afternoon all.

Hi Gracie, sorry things are a bit messed up for you at the minute. Like Scorpio says, just try (I know it's hard) not to worry. You will get either a BFP or AF soon

You feeling a bit brighter today Scorpio? You certainly sound it

tigerschick · 12/04/2007 12:51

Apart from the wanting to scream bit, of course

Gracie14 · 12/04/2007 12:54

scorpio - thankyou fingers crossed for you.

Looks like I'll just be waiting now then. Hopefully will know soon one way or the other.

scorpio1 · 12/04/2007 12:55

a bit brighter i suppose.i am on my own alot lately,so feeling very lonely ATM.and today the children have decided to fight about everything imaginable.

i was in the bathroom earlier, and the kids were playing outside.then i heard my eldest (nearly 5) shout Fckn Hell ! i ran outside and said who told you about that and he said i dont know.now the neighbours are going to think i am even more lovely! (they all old old old and hate me for making noise louder than a mouse fart ) i did think it was quite funny though!but also and i did tell him off

You ok today tiger?

plummymummy · 12/04/2007 13:23

I am a bit down but maybe it's the hormones (that's what men put it down to all the time, thought I'd use it as a convenient excuse too). at your son Scorpio. My dad was over from Ireland recently and repeatedly swore whilst here - I'm amazed ds hasn't repeated some of the profanity. He constantly says "for gods sake" because dh and I both say it - and he repeats it in front of his granny (mum in law) who is religious . Had a visit from the health visitor today (they visit everyone with pre-school age children who has moved into the area). Had to bite my tongue a lot as she lectured me about the importance of praising them for absolutely everything and ignoring all bad behaviour . Makes you wonder how we ever turned out ok doesn't it! Incidentally has anyone seen that email ciruculating about people born in the 70's? Mind you, I suppose a lot of you will be younger than that!

kensgirl · 12/04/2007 13:33

What is the email about Plumymummy, I was born in 1975?

LoL at your son Scorpio

plummymummy · 12/04/2007 13:37

This is dedicated to

those Born 1928-1979!

TO ALL THE KIDS
WHO SURVIVED the
1930's 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's !!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant.
They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking

As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, booster seats, seat belts or air bags. Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle. We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank koolade made with sugar, but we weren't overweight because .

WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING !

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day.

And we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down
the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound , CD's or Ipods, no cell phones! , no personal computers , no Internet or chat rooms.......
WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no
lawsuits from these accidents.

We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.

We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays,

made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang
the bell, or just walked in and talked to them!

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of.

They actually sided with the law!

These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever!

The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned

HOW TO

DEAL WITH IT ALL!

If YOU are one of them . . CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as
kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives

for our own good

And while you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave (and lucky) their parents were.

How true is much of that! If th thought of all that won't help me relax while ttc then nothing will!

tigerschick · 12/04/2007 13:51

Like that one Plummy.

I'm ok ta Scorpio. Dd got a d+v thing tho. Last time she had one the dr said to keep her off solids for 24 hours. Did that yesterday but today all she wants to do is sleep and has turned her nose up at any offer of food. Bit worried as the longer she goes without food, the weaker she will get and the less likely she is to get better I'm going away from Saturday lunch time until Sunday afternoon so need her better by then or dh will go spare with worry!

scorpio1 · 12/04/2007 14:14

tiger, that sounds normal sweety.if she just wants to sleep, its her body's way of repairing itself IYSWIM? just make sure she drinks tons! men never know what to do do they?mine doesnt anyway!!

tigerschick · 12/04/2007 14:49

I know, Scorpio, I'm just being a paranoid first time mum! I did ring the gps to see if they can advise and the receptionist said "well you're the one looking at her, you tell me if you need to bring her in" So I made an appointment for 4.55 just to p* her off! I may cancel it yet tho as dd is now awake and has just polished off a whole banana. We'll see

fifisworld · 12/04/2007 15:22

Hello everyone

Glad to see af has kept her distance from you all.
I feel absolutley shattered, slept loads last night and was supposed to be at work until 3 but dp had a half day so i picked ds up from my dads and came home.
Apart from the tiredness and sore boobs i dont feel anything,i hope things are going to be ok ( but i had no symptoms with ds either)
I wish it was time for my scan

becklespeckle · 12/04/2007 15:31

Hello all, hows it going? Woke up this morning all bloated this is what usually happens about 10 days before AF arrives so am expecting her... Mind you, at least if she arrives I will have had a shorter cycle this time and I was right about ov which can only be a good thing!
How did it go today awen? Don't get paranoid about being left off the list - took me a while to realise that when we do a new roll call we all add ourselves on!

fleacircus · 12/04/2007 17:43

Bought four more tests today () so probably... the last one (First Response) was clearer than the two ClearBlue I did this morning.

tigerschick · 12/04/2007 17:47

Well they're not cheepy ebay ones then are they!? I'd say you are but, if it was me I'd check again on or after the 14th, your af is due then, right? But that's me, I checked again before we told mil and again before we told my parents Didn't want to tell everyone to then say 'oops, not really!'

tigerschick · 12/04/2007 18:10

I think fleacircus makes 7 .. or is it 8?

kensgirl · 12/04/2007 18:12

OH MY GOD!!
Congratulations Fleacircus
I hope all these lovely bfp's are contagious!

fleacircus · 12/04/2007 19:10

Thanks for congratulations. I'm beginning to believe it a bit more now. Far too scared to leave this board though... Visiting DP's dad and stepmum this weekend which should be lovely but I don't think he wants to tell them yet - don't think he believes it's real at all. Might be tricky as FIL has weird ability to always guess what's going on with any member of the family!

becklespeckle · 12/04/2007 19:15

hoorah! well done Fleacircus!!!
