If anyone is ttc2 and expecting their AF/ BFP in November then this thread is for you.

Let’s all give ourselves a fabulous excuse not to drink at Christmas!

My stats are as follows:

Age: 35
DS: 2 (in late November)
Cycle: 13 (lucky for some?!?!) I have short cycles so this is month 11 (yawn!)
AF/ BFP due: 2 November

THat should be asprin not aspiring! 75mg baby asprin. If you search mumsnet some stuff comes up about it.

LopeyLopez · 07/11/2017 19:57

Ooo thanks, Hedgehog, that’s a great idea to search mumsnet about aspirin....now I have and am confused ConfusedSome say it can actually increase chance of MC if taken before BFP, and you should only take it after. So maybe it’s no use for implantation after all then....not sure what to do now!! So far have not taken any anyway as keep forgetting to get some from the shops!!

LopeyLopez · 07/11/2017 20:00

@Secondtime I’ll probably test on Monday 13th if I get that far....AF has a habit of showing up before or just as I am about to test. Haven’t used a test in months!!

MynameisJune · 07/11/2017 20:48

@cupcakes I’m sorry you feel like af is coming, it’s so shit and unfair. We’re here if you want to chat but I can understand needing to take a break. Be kind to yourself.

@hedgehog sorry for the bfn, hopefully it’s just too early to test.

@lopey maybe speak to GP about aspirin before starting to take it. I think people who get a GP prescription have other fertility issues.

Secondtimelucky1980 · 08/11/2017 09:04

LopeyLopez good luck! I'll be testing on Monday or Tuesday too! Will cross everything for us. I may cave and so a FRER on Sat or Sun, but it would be a waste of money as I am 90% sure I am not pregnant.

HappyHedghog I am very sorry you got a BFN. It may be simply too early though? What test did you use?

xx

Hi all

Have been following this thread quietly. So happy to have seen a Bfp already.

I caved last night and tested, then again this morning (had to order more tests). I promised myself I wouldn't. Both BFN's as expected. At most I'm 7dpo but potentially 9dpo. In any case, far too early!!

I feel like I'm having symptoms - mild cramps, peeing loads, tiring easily during exercise and feeling sick (although think that's the pregnacare doing that)!

So, AF is due Wednesday and I'll be lucky if I haven't gotten through 7 more tests by then! Testing this morning has scratched the itch for now but probably won't last long. Can't help but feel it would be far too lucky to conceive on the fiest cycle of trying. I'm just not that lucky.

HappyHedgehog247 · 08/11/2017 22:19

@secondtime I used a 10miu internet cheapie (but high sensitivity) and a Superdrug one.

I probably will test again tomorrow but I have cramps and just wanted to eat chocolate all day yesterday which is normally a clear af signal for me!

SpongeCake23 · 08/11/2017 22:37

Been following this thread.

I'm due for my period and TTC #1. We're on cycle 5 now. I really thought I had the symptoms this time, very very sore boobs, cramps, hot flushes, pelvic pain, very emotional.
Looks like it's just going to be AF Sad

Don't know how some people do it for years! I'm struggling already.

SpongeCake23 · 08/11/2017 22:40

Oops just realised I'm on the wrong thread. This is TTC #2! Sorry, I'll move on Smile

Kit1411 · 08/11/2017 22:48

Hi, just thought I’d join the group as we are ttc #2, my son is 5. I came off the Cerelle pill on 12/09/17 and exactly 4 weeks later had my withdrawal bleed. Then on Monday a day less than 4 weeks after I have got my period, but it’s very light, I’m wondering if it’s implantation bleeding but I didn’t have any bleeding with my son so I’m really unsure. Not sure if/when i ovulated, not sure if my body is still adjusting to coming off the pill. Hoping I get a BFP soon.

Flybynight1 · 09/11/2017 06:49

Sorry to all the ladies who are having a tough time Sad hugs to you all.

Flybynight1 · 09/11/2017 10:24

Urgh I POAS this morning and BFN. I'm 9DPO which is when I got a BFP my last pregnancy. I've been crampy but thinking it's just AF getting ready. Can't believe I wasted a FRER!!! Urgh

Ems1986 · 09/11/2017 11:16

Still really early, flybynight1. Try not to get discouraged.

I know what you mean though. I threw away £10 of frers yesterday at approx 9dpo when I knew what the result was going to be! Why do we do it to ourselves?

Ems1986 · 09/11/2017 11:18

When do you plan to test kit1411?

Flybynight1 · 09/11/2017 13:05

Ems glad I'm not the only one!! I used an internet cheapie then when it came out neg I figured it was just crap hence the FRER! Trying to hold off testing until Sunday now.. easier said than done Confused

Ems1986 · 09/11/2017 15:03

I won't lie, I'm waiting on the amazon delivery of 5 tests that I placed after I wasted my FRER's the other day. They are due to arrive today and I can guarantee as soon as they do I'll have one used. And it'll be negative, because it's too early. Willpower is obviously not something I have cracked Grin

Kit1411 · 09/11/2017 18:01

Does anyone know if caffeine makes a difference when ttc? I didn’t used to drink tea or coffee at all and conceived my DS first go, but I now drink 1 coffee a day and wondering if I should stop?

Mileymoocow · 09/11/2017 19:47

Can I jump on? Ttc#2, DS is 14 months and sadly had a mc 2 weeks ago Sad no idea ehat to expect from my cycle now, but am CD14 with a bit of ewcm yet not a hint of a line on an IC OPK

Ems1986 · 09/11/2017 20:01

Hi Miley. Sorry to hear about your MC. I don't know much about OPKs (after 5 unsuccessful months using them TTC my DD, I gave up) but the month I did conceive her, we used EWCM as our go indicator. That was the first EWCM I'd seen (or noticed) in 7 months. So I'd say get on it Wink

Kit - I've heard caffine isnt an issue in small amounts. When you are PG, they suggest no more than 200mg per day which is one cup of coffee.

Secondtimelucky1980 · 10/11/2017 08:26

Morning all.

Miley I am so sorry about your MC. How far along were you?

Kit I haven't heard anything about coffee being a problem with conception. I think the most important thing is to relax as much as possible and don't stress about it. Very easy to say though obviously!

I reckon I am definitely out for this month. Still 5 days away from AF but the few symptoms I did have have gone and I just know it's not happened this time. I haven't been very disciplined with alcohol and diet though so I guess it's good to have another chance next month to be a bit better! Good luck to everyone else though!!

xx

Ems1986 · 10/11/2017 14:47

Funny you should say that secondtimelucky, I have been exactly the same. Eating everything in sight and having a 'last glass of wine'. That last glass has happened a few times this week! And I was just thinking earlier that if I had another month, maybe I could try to be a bit healthier and shift a few lbs.

I dont think you should be discouraged yet though.... I know lots of people who got no symptoms and apparently, if the HCG isn't strong enough to show on a test then it's not strong enough to give you real pregnancy symptoms. Just progesterone. Not sure where I read that but it makes me feel better. Im literally pissing money using a test every day at the moment even though I'm only just 10dpo.

lexijadye · 11/11/2017 00:56

Evening Everyone Smile
So I posted a while back, and been watching from a distance whilst waiting for af to arrive. - just to let any one who didn't know, that my last injection was in June, next was due September but I didn't have it.
So have been waiting for things to return to normal.
Well.. it finally happened! After reading some posts about how long it can take after the injection, she's here! - never thought I'd ever say that whilst ttc! 🙈
Definitely joining the next thread! - baby dust to you all for this month! 🤞🏻 xx

Flybynight1 · 11/11/2017 08:37

Welcome lexi! Best of luck to you next cycle!!Grin

AF here too. Actually a bit relieved, first cycle off the implant and still BF DS I wasn't sure if I would ovulate, but looks like I did so roll on next (normal?!) cycle! Be back in 8 days or so!! SMEP next cycle Wink

Ems keep up that good POAS work! Hahaha

Hope to see some BFPs when I come back!! Star

LopeyLopez · 11/11/2017 09:00

Morning all.

11 dpo for me today but had one ‘spot’ yesterday and af cramps this morning, so pretty sure she’s on her way. 😞☹️ Very sad.

Decided to start with the dispersible aspirin next cycle; thanks for your thoughts.

First bloods on Monday so at least that’s all underway.

Secondtine, did you test yet? I remember we were sort of in sync?!

Good luck all x

Ems1986 · 11/11/2017 13:12

I've resigned myself to the face that I'm going to be POAS at least once a day now. The TWW is actually a form of torture, but I I'm SURE. AF due weds so at least any sticks used now at least have a slight chance of being positive.

Anyone due to test about now? Some nice Bfp stories would be lovely x
