If anyone is ttc2 and expecting their AF/ BFP in November then this thread is for you.

Let’s all give ourselves a fabulous excuse not to drink at Christmas!

My stats are as follows:

Age: 35
DS: 2 (in late November)
Cycle: 13 (lucky for some?!?!) I have short cycles so this is month 11 (yawn!)
AF/ BFP due: 2 November

Thanks @pennyw85, slight nipple soreness and a few twinges in the uterus area today. With my other two pg my boobs were very sore so trying not to read too much into it!

MynameisJune · 26/10/2017 20:41

@DT2016 so sorry for the MC, I had a loss at 5 weeks on 10th October. So thoroughly shit for all concerned.

I’m 3dpo so really still early days yet.

DT2016 · 26/10/2017 22:49

Thanks @pennyw85Smile

@MynameisJune I remember you from the June 2018 due date thread. So sorry to see you here Flowers

Here’s hoping for a lucky thread and lots of BFPs for us all xx

MiniMinions · 27/10/2017 16:19

Hi all

So we've had the chat and decided that now feels like the right time to start TTC again. Both always wanted another child but been enjoying our little guy so much and time has flown so much already!
Age: 34
Children: DS 2.5yrs
Cycle/AF: nearly finished this pack of pill so "AF" due end of next week-ish but been so sporadic even whilst on pill unlike before first pregnancy which was clockwork!! So awaiting withdrawal I guess.

Loved my MN bus and group first time round so had to come back!!

Cariad2014 · 29/10/2017 08:45

How is everyone doing? Apologies for not being more present this month. I needed to get away from it all for a bit.

I’m not going to lie. Cycle 13 has been the toughest one yet. The final member of my NCT group of 6 couples announced her pregnancy; 3 friends (all of whom started ttc a little after us!) have had babies and we got really rubbish fertility results pointing towards male factor infertility (2% morphology). DH is currently taking a cocktail of vitamins and trying to keep caffeine and alcohol to a minimum but if that doesn't work, it looks like IVF with ICSI will be our only option.

It’s funny to think that having started 2017 with high hopes of a pregnancy this year (having started ttc in December 2016), my optimism on the likelihood of a pregnancy in 2018 will be much lower.

Currently 10/11dpo but I have no symptoms (needing to wake up to pee at night has been a giveaway at this stage in all my other pregnancies), so I’m fairly sure I’m out this cycle. The good news is that I do have two shots at a November BFP.

Stats are as follows:
DS (2 in November)
Age: 35
TTC since December 2016 (Cycle 13)

We tried for 11 months to get DS (with a cp and a ruptured ectopic along the way), I honestly thought we were unlucky last time, but in hindsight, I think we were incredibly lucky to get to DS naturally and as quickly as we did.

Sorry to all those who’ve suffered losses and to all the familiar faces. Lopey - I can definitely empathise with your pain. I shall be keeping everything crossed that you catch that lucky break soon. Xxx

Oh and I forgot to add that AF is due on 1/2 November but I will probably test on Halloween.

HI,

I was on here a few busses back maybe August... anyway I’m still not pregnant.
26
Ttc #2
Dd will be 2 in November.
I’ve given up all hope actually I don’t really know why I’m joining, maybe as a last ditch attempt.
I basically am 99.9% sure I’m not ovulating.
I was using fertility friend to do my cycles the same as I did with my daughter, fell pregnant with her three months after coming off the pill.
This time I’ve been off the pill since January. Nothing so far I have been using OPKs for a week as I only have a 25 day cycle so was advised to start testing on day 8... all have been negative I test about 1pm. So even I do ovulate it’s going to now be too late to be viable. I don’t ever get a lot of cm so I don’t go by that.

Cariad2014 · 29/10/2017 12:40

Sorry you’re also having a tough time of it Cupcakes. If you’re worried about not ovulating, I would definitely advise a trip to the GP for a day 3 and 21 blood test. As I understand it, they should agree to tests after a year of failing to conceive if you’re under 35, and you’re very close to that now.

The good news is that if you’re not ovulating, there are drugs like Clomid that they can give you in an attempt to kick start ovulation (all four of SILs children are Clomid babies and she conceived pretty quickly each time after starting treatment).

Here to hand hold in the meantime. Xxxx

Hi, I’m new here but here are my stats

Age:36
Cd:20
Ds:
Ds:8
Cycle: 12

Had a pos opk yesterday so fingers crossed.

I have 2 boys by a previous marriage and been with my current partner 6 years. He works away mon-fri so we’ve missed a few cycles.
Had a surprise pregnancy last Oct but sadly lost it. We’ve been trying since then 💗

MynameisJune · 29/10/2017 14:15

@cariad lovely to see you back, hope you’re feeling a bit better. I’m keeping everything crossed for this cycle for you 😊

@cupcakesandlove sorry you’re worried, definitely see your GP after a year for tests. I was worried I wasn’t ovulating as well but tests say I am. But I struggled to get a positive opk until I started testing everyday morning and evening from day 8, now I can watch the tests getting darker everyday. The problem with only testing once a day is that you could miss the surge as I believe it’s only a 12hr window to get a positive. Big hugs, long term TTC is just utterly shit.

LopeyLopez · 29/10/2017 15:30

Hi all.

Thanks for the thoughts Cariad.

So I’ve had my first GP appointment to start the ball rolling with regards to sub-fertility. Had a really really nice female GP who was understanding whilst still being matter of fact and straight forward about things, which I loved and is exactly how I would be if I was a GP! (Don’t know why I thought that after the app, but I did!)

I have to have tests for LH and FSH on CD1 and CD21. Hoping to go for next cycle but I have huge problems with getting appointments at these exact times. I’m a teacher and as a rule we’re not meant to have pre-planned doctor’s appointments in school time - should be in the holidays. But we don’t have one of those again til Christmas! There are late appointments at 5.30 which I could just about make if I finished school exactly as the kids do, just for those two days, and then drove straight to docs rather than getting the train home. However I have looked into booking these online and already there are none available on the correct days! There are also no nurse appointments listed online - I am supposed to make a nurses appointment as it’s just for taking bloods. Can’t phone up the surgery during school hours. I will probably try and ring tomorrow around 5 and see what they suggest. All a bit of a logistical nightmare...

After the tests are done I have to have a pelvic exam, then an ultrasound and some tests with dye to check my tubes are all open, etc.

She also suggested coming in again with dp to discuss together, and said that he would need to have a sperm analysis done and some bloods too (not sure what those bloods are for...?)

All seems very real and scary now.

Still wishing it would just happen and we didn’t need to put ourselves through all this!!

MiniMinions · 29/10/2017 21:34

Hi @LopeyLopez, sorry to hear you are having to do all this! I know what you mean about teaching and dr appointments (am also a teacher - secondary) not sure what age range you teach or how far away drs is from work but could you perhaps see if you could get an appointment in lunchbreak/free period or perhaps first appointment of the day so perhaps only registration time missed?
I hope that you get something out of the tests or perhaps it just happens and you get your BFP x

Cupcakesandlove · 30/10/2017 07:33

Hi all, I did post this on another thread but hoping I will get a response somewhere!!
This month has been my first time doing OPK I was testing since day 8 as I only have a 25 day cycle... I was getting negative readings then since yesterday they have been getting darker.
Would you say this is a positive now?
Only thing is it’s day 14!!! So not great if I’m ovulating late... I can only hope my period is later than 25 days this month...
anyone else have a short ovulation phase before their period? I was thinking of going and getting b6?
The white background was last night the other this morning not fmu x
Thanks

Hi is it ok if I join? I’m close to being able to find out, so very nervous and convincing myself I am/am not!

Age:27
DS: 2 in March
CD:26
Due on: 4th Nov

Cupcakesandlove · 30/10/2017 11:15

DOEs anyone know if my ovulation test is positive? X

MynameisJune · 30/10/2017 12:23

@cupcakes the ones this morning look positive to me

Cupcakesandlove · 30/10/2017 15:52

THank you June x

Flybynight1 · 30/10/2017 18:57

Ok I've been charting (badly since DC1 still wakes erratically and so my mornings are all over the place) but I basically wanted to know if I am ovulating (still bf DC1 but literally once or twice a day). No obvious temp pattern and no +opk but some fertile cm and a bit of a temp increase around cd15. FF decided I did O around then. Temps have been generally higher but took a nose dive on dpo10. Was hoping implantation dip but the temps never went higher so I was expecting AF the next day as per previous cycles... been waiting 2 days and nothing yet, had an urge to do an opk this morning and it came up strong positive straight away. Cd21 and only just ovulating?!? Did an opk this eve and still strong positive. My cycle is so messed up Sad should I expect positive opk at the beginning AND end of the day?

MynameisJune · 30/10/2017 19:47

Some women do have an LH surge before af but I haven’t really researched it to know how common it is. If still no af tomorrow it might be worth taking a pregnancy test to know either way.

Cupcakesandlove · 30/10/2017 20:28

Flybynight I was told it’s best to test twice a day. I have today got two positives one this morning and one now, the one this morning my line was stronger than the control as you can see from my PP and just now they are the same.
It’s very disheartening as fertility friend also predicted ovulation as Friday for me. I believe if you want to get it right you’ve got to test as well as relying on the app. I did so for 10 months and I’m not pregnant but hoping to be asap now I am using opks

Ems1986 · 30/10/2017 20:46

Hi everyone. I hope i'm not too late to join? This is new to me and it's lovely to see the support you all give to one another.

DH and I made a bit of a snap decision to start TTC a little earlier than originally planned so this is cycle no 1! No birth control for over a year, periods regular with a couple of exceptions and EWCM always present around day 14/15 so i'm hoping things will be more predictable than with DD (7 months TTC following birth control pill for 10 years +).

Age: 31
DD: 3.5
CD: 14
Due on: 15 Nov

Flybynight1 · 30/10/2017 21:04

June yes I've been trying to understand how common the opk+ before af is, I suspect that's going to be the result for me (rather than the bfp!) have got some FRER in order (peed on all my cheapy hpt already!!)

cupcakes with our first DC the month we conceived I was charting like a pro (cm, bbt, OPKs, upgraded to fertility friend VIP membership, plus following the SMEP and plenty of preseed!!) and it worked so I definitely agree it helps to look at the whole picture. I've gotten lazy so was just hoping for a bit of 'beginners luck' this time round but obviously it's just sending me crazy by not understanding! Next month back on it properly Halloween Grin

Flybynight1 · 30/10/2017 21:06

Welcome Ems! Sounds like you've got a great head start in understanding your cycle so fx it doesn't take you long!

hannahintheworks · 31/10/2017 07:52

Hi, can I join please?

I'm 27
Cycle 4
DS1 will be 2 just after Christmas
AF next due on 13th Nov

Really hope this is our month. Have made sure we BD'd all through this months fertile window so I'm hopeful!
