Keep staring at this test in the hope a second line will materialise and I keep thinking I can see something. But I'm almost certain it's my eyes playing tricks on me!

No, that's negative sorry. How early are you testing? It might just be that you've got to wait a bit longer for a positive test this cycle.

Well I don't think I ovulated this month so it's almost certainly negative but if I did I would be about 12dpo so should be showing on a FRER (which this is). I wanted to be sure because I have a couple of events I am going to and wanted to know before I went.

I think my eyes keep putting a line where I would expect to see one if it was positive.

Or maybe, just maybe...

There's definitely no line there, sorry. You might be seeing the line where the test detects the HCG but since there's no dye that test is negative.

Thank you all so much! Definitely the dose of reality I needed this morning! It makes sense that I'm seeing the line where the HCG would be measured. We won't be TTC again now until January for various reasons but I will go out to the event I mentioned and have a large glass of wine and enjoy myself and relax before it all starts in earnest next year!!

Could I be a pain in the bum and ask if anyone sees anything on this either?? It's probably neg but just like you OP I need someone else to tell me x
