TTC for 4 years, First IVF BFN , donor eggs option?

Hi All,

I just had my first cycle of IVF on NHS funding. Unfortunately ended up in BFN last week. I am so broken and inconsolable. I have a low ovarian reserve or low AMH. After strong dose of stimms I could only produce 4 follicles which resulted in 4 eggs on the EC day. Out of 4 eggs only 1 fertilised. On the 3rd day embryo transfer happened. And after 2 ww it end up in BFN. Not sure if IVF will really work for me. I am 38 and DH 43.

Has anybody tried with donor eggs, as I am sure my clinic does not support donor eggs. What are the various options available in UK? While I was searching online, I came across Cyprus IVF and also tried to contact them. But totally confused. Again they write about all big things like 80% success rates with donor eggs . 10 eggs guaranteed and the procedure would cost 7100 euros. Is it really worth trying. Or should i look for other options. Please suggest.

Regards
sparkles

Hi

How many cycles do you get with NHS? If you get another try i would ask your consultant about the next step.
I would ask a professional for their advice if I'm honest.

Hi cherryontopp,

I have one more fresh cycle left and 2 frozen cycles which doesn't count at this moment as i didn't have any embryos to freeze from my first cycle. But I believe IVF on donor eggs is not so common in UK. I might be wrong.
