Will I be protected

Currently on the combined pill though I'm due to start new pills (the mini pill) due to raised BP I'm on my 7 day break from old pill and am due to start taking new ones hopefully wed as told I won't be protected for the first 2 days so hopefully by the weekend I will be

Question is if I take one of my old pills today and 1 in morning will I still be protected against pregnancy as bf has indicated that there could be some fun on the cards tonight

Why wouldn't you just use a condom??

Partner doesn't like using them plus I've read up on the combined pill I should be ok says as long as I've took the pill every pill at the same time up till I stopped for 7 days I should be still protected
