So after last month's slight panic about a possible pregnancy because I had a big hormonal upset thanks to the stress of our wedding I started taking vits and ovulation tests to help regulate my cycle as I can range anywhere between 45-60 days and they showed I tended not to ovulated till around CD22+ and had a super short luteal phase. So I thought it would take a while before these things take any effect as I usually don't notice any changes with vitamins until around 3 month mark of regular usage and the research I did in to them said about the same. I was absolutely not expecting to take a test today which showed I first of all had a high ovulation test this morning and now a peak test this afternoon. I've been testing all week and nothing till this morning. I'm cd16 which for all intensive purposes seems like a super regular day to ovulate (never happens to me) if you're on a 28-30 day cycle. Well DH and I have been dtd all this week and yes we use the withdrawal + charting method because bad reaction to condoms for him and pills and coil not an option any more me but we haven't exactly been overly careful about it the way we would say next week when I would normally be ovulating or on my 'fertile week'. I've updated Ovia with the results and essentially it's now saying we've been at it all way through my fertile week and basically after relaxing after last month's scare I am now in for a nervous TWW AGAIN! We would be happy, we're planning to TTC possibly next year so it's just going to be a shock. I feel like I might not worry DH during this time because it really is a small chance, we did still do withdrawal method fairly well but it's not fool proof so here I am hoping for some support during this horrible symptom spotting wait.

Yay hello to both of you! Glad not to be the only one.

CWknife that looks like an awful lot of activity for something to NOT be happening.

I told DH I ovulated and asked if he felt we had been safe enough and he thinks we have been but I'll be honest I think there was one night we weren't so for me it's still the TWW until I'm certain no harm in treating my body like I might be expecting a BFP just in case. I don't know what to do about next week though, my DH and I just organised a night of dinner and drinks with friends at a fancy restaurant if I don't drink they will all think we are TTC as we are newlyweds. Yikes.

I'm out, AF arrived today :(

Pumpkinbee · 25/09/2017 19:32

Aww sorry cw. Think of it as clean start to cycle to try again and maybe get a clearer picture of your temp changes too. I'm now around 3/4dpo. No idea when AF is die as never had a cycle like this before.

I wouldn’t worry too much about a drink during your 2ww @Pumpkinbee, since you aren’t sharing a blood supply at that point it should cause any harm.

Pumpkinbee · 26/09/2017 12:31

Thanks Esme that's really good to know. I feel a bit more relaxed now.
