Hi everyone,

My period was nearly ten days late. I took morning after pill about three weeks ago as partner and I had a problem with condom and too much lube tmi. I took the MAP 41 hours later. We feel we aren't ready for a baby as yet.

I took a test about 6 days ago as period was late and it was negative.
Anyway period came three days ago but it's much lighter than usual. I usually have periods like clockwork that are heavy and have to wear super plus tampons for days. This time I've only needed pads!!

So today I just felt something was weird especially with how I'm feeling. Weird cramps, feeling sick and just odd. Took a test as I read in the levonelle (map) leaflet you could still be pregnant even with a light period.
I am in shock as it's come up positive. How is that even possible during a period?

I am going to buy more today and retest. If I am pregnant it will be a lovely surprise but also a shock.

Anyone had experience of this?

Im the opposite to you right now...10 days early and started bleeding this morning. At first I thought it might be implantation bleeding but its got heavy and painful like my usual periods so I don't think it is. Also I've only come off the pill 3 months ago so cycle is a bit out of whack I expect 😕

If you do get a positive test in the morning, please do get checked out. Not trying to scare you, but I was bleeding whilst pregnant and it turned out to be ectopic. This is potentially very dangerous so please call your early pregnancy unit and get yourself checked or if in severe pain with shoulder tip or abdominal pain go to A&E.

Thanks everyone. Did FMU test and it's negative so I'm going to go with that.
