Advice needed after d&c!

I had a d&c 12 days ago after miscarrying at 13 weeks and 4 days. I stopped bleeding 5 days ago and me and my partner have decided to start trying again (was told to wait till first period for dating purposes only! But we decided against waiting)
I took a pregnancy test yesterday to make sure I got a negative which I did and also took an ovulation test which was a faint positive.
My question is could this mean I'm soon to ovulate?
Would ovulation test be false due to having d&c 12 days ago even if I got a neg pregnancy test?
Also after sex last night had some very dark spotting. Is this normal for first time having sex after d&c?
Thanks a lot

Hiya so sorry for your loss. After my D&C it took a good 4 months for my period to regulate. Not even sure im properly ovulating yet... I would take the opk with a pinch of salt...My opk have been almost positive for about 10 days in a row and then went to weak... I'm note sure if D&c has affected it. If go for it though, no harm in trying. I wish I began trying earlier but dh wasnt ready to for 7 months. They say you're most fertile after a miscarriage so I'd go for it and keep trying but keep recording what you think is ov etc just incase you don't catch this cycle.

P.s I didn't spot after sex but we did take it very easy as I was nervous.

I had an ERPC at the beginning of May after a loss at a similar gestation, and I haven't ovulated since, so like the pp I would take the opk with a pinch of salt. My cycle returned to normal far quicker after earlier losses, but everyone is different, and my gp said that it can take up to six months for things to get back to normal. No harm on trying though.

It may just be that having sex dislodged some old blood, but I'd contact your gp if it continues.
