Irregular periods scince coming off pill Dec 2015. Getting ready for next cycle will be cycle 1 properly ttc, got ovulation tests, pregnancy tests, basal thermometer, never kept track of my periods but time to be a lot more organised with them!
Been to see DR as didn't have a period for 4 months. She sent me for a blood test to get lots checked & by coincidence the day I went for my blood test, period came! I went back to DR a week later for the results and she said everything was normal and sent me off for another blood test now that I got my period and wants me to go for it on 21st (as this will be day 21 of my cycle).
However my period lasted for 15 days, and day 21 is based on someone that has regular periods, right? So how do I/ DR know that day 21 is going to be right for me considering I don't know when my next period will be?! I spoke to another DR on the phone today who says to go for it on 21st then go back to my DR to speak about the results. Am just worried that its going to come back wrong as it hadn't had the blood taken at the right time, in my head I am thinking it be pushed back?
Have also been sent for transvaginal scan. Not knowing when my next period is could mean that I have it on the day of the scan! Some people say they have been for the scan when on their periods before but DR I spoke to on the phone today says I would need to re book it if that's the case.
Someone help a newbie out!! :)
