3 days late

So today I'm 3 days late ( I've never been late ever ) we have been ttc since start of the year. I've took 2 test anbd both said negative: one I took yesterday I thought I say a vvvv faint line. I have vey sore nipples, feel very sicky and really sore throat.
How long can it take after a missed period for it to pick it up on a test if I am pregnant xx

The only pic I have is of a negative. And Tesco tests xx

Jumping on here.....what do you base your lateness on? I ask as my cycles are diff each month since I stopped the pill. 25, 28, 27 and 23. I am on CD 24 today with no AF. So am I late yet or not late until cd 29?

Frustrating! Did a test today BFN. It's killing ok not so dramatic but it's so hard not to keep checking and wondering about it all day, I can't concentrate.
