Acupuncture

Hi all

Getting so fed up no periods for a year now :(. Had bloods low FSH but only slightly under consultant everything's just slow! Any alternative treatments people can think of in mean time at all?

Any success with acupuncture, currently having reflexology and taking seven seas trying for baby.

I'm so unlucky and sad :( help

DH Had a vasectomy reversal and only had 9million per ml after. We tried for a year - nothing. We has two sessions of acupuncture each then i had a weird 14 day cycle and got pregnant that month. Apparently its very usual for these short cycles to happen like clearing a blockage! The best £40 I ever spent is now almost 2 yrs old!!!

Same happened to me, no period for over a year after coming off pill. A change in doctor after moving house got me sent straight for tests and then referred to fertility clinic at hospital. Was put on various hormones for a couple of months and then clomid. Two months after first fertility appointment we discovered we were pregnant and I'm now 34 weeks 😊

Throughout everything I was doing acupuncture then also taking Chinese herbs. I found it helpful for relaxing more than anything and still go now.

Have you been sent for any other tests yet? Scans etc?? I totally feel your pain and understand how completely frustrating it all is, but there are solutions available!

I wouldn't get brush off by your consultant.

Having said that, acupuncture can help but I would do it in addition to insisting on further test and help.

We have been trying for 9 months. I decided to give acupuncture a try, not only for fertility but my thinking was im sure it can't hurt and might make my body more receptive to getting pregnant. I've had two sessions in the last two weeks. I was due to ovulate on Saturday and out of nowhere started bleeding as if my period had arrived two weeks early - it was fresh red blood not spotting. I didn't really know what to do or think so I just put a tampon in and tried to forget about it. When I went back to the loo a few hours later the bleeding had stopped and it hasn't started since.
It is very strange! I very occasionally get a slight amount of ovulation bleeding but it's only ever slightly discoloured discharge, I've never ever had mid cycle bleeding before. I can only put it down to the acupuncture as nothing else has changed! I guess only time will tell if it helps us conceive or not
